Welcome back to the kitchen table. This week Bethany is continuing her series on the lies of motherhood, and she is discussing the universal lie that all mama's face in some form or another, you are going to mess up your child. Bethany wants to come alongside you this week, look into your eyes and remind you that God did not make a mistake when you chose you as a mother to your children.
Bethany shares how this lie is deeply driven by her need to be perfect, and she anchors herself in God's word and stands in his truth to combat this lie. Join her as she talks from a place of scripture and how you too can stand confidently in his gospel. He is not asking you to parent perfectly, nor is your worth measured by how you parent your children. He invites you to parent surrendered to him as he leads, guides, comfort, and teaches you throughout your parenting journey.

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Bethany sits down this week for an open and honest chat with Michelle Krol about what it looks like when we hear the lie that we are alone. As a mother, your life drastically changes and it becomes so easy to buy the lie of isolation.
We long to feel connected, valued, and related to others. When we feel isolated and alone, the enemy whispers lies that distort our heart and mind. Hebrews 13: 5-6 remind us that “he will never leave you nor forsake you.” When we feel disconnected from our community, family, and our friends the enemy attempts to place power over us.
Michelle shares her wisdom on battling this lie and how she roots herself in God’s word. She provides valuable lessons and scriptures on turning to his truth to defeat the enemy and his lies.
Michelle Krol guides moms in grace to embrace the ministry within the walls of their own homes and across their kitchen tables. As a writer, speaker, and founder of A Rooted Home, she is devoted to helping families grow together in Christ. Michelle has been married for twenty years to her good guy, is mom to a crew of five boys and calls a sweet suburb of Chicago home. Thanks to her boys, she has learned to chase the joy in unexpected adventures and to always bring plenty of snacks and band-aids along.

Welcome back to the kitchen table. This week Bethany continues her series on the lies of motherhood, and this week she talks about the lie that impacts every mama. The lie of being alone, the enemy uses this lie so strongly against us, pulls us into isolation, and disconnects us from our friends, family, and community.
Join Bethany as she shares her story of how this lie embedded in her soul and festered so profoundly, which led her to descend into self-pity. Bethany is raw, honest, and takes your hand as she shares how she anchored in the Lord’s word. She knows how this lie can so quickly change your heartbeat, and she wants all mothers to know that they are never alone.
Bethany talks about how she spent a lot of time in this lie and how her feeling of being alone descended into resentment. She shares how Hebrews 13: 5-6 became her anchor and gave her peace in being content where she was, that God was by her side every step of the way.
Bethany shares the scriptures that were her anchors, and they helped her learn to stand in his truth. Joshua 1:5-9 God reminds us to be strong and courageous as he is standing by our sides. Psalm 118: 5-7, Through God’s words he promises that he loves you even on your messiest days of motherhood. God is your helper, and he will never disappoint you.

Welcome back to the kitchen table. This week Bethany’s friend Brittany joins her as they talk about the need to control all that is going on. Another lie that mothers are often faced with, whether it is rooted in fear or the drive to be perfect, most mothers are often struggling with the desire to control it all.
Bethany shares her own experiences on how she has often wrestled and struggled with the mindset of wanting to control all the different aspects of motherhood. Control is an insidious lie, because it declares that we can and should handle things ourselves. But instead we can begin to walk in what God has planned for each and everyone one of us.
We so easily compare ourselves to other moms and fear we aren’t measuring up to others. We fear that if we do not have it perfectly, we will fail. Ask yourself what is the Lord’s standard for me? Declaring your praise to God will help you begin to combat the fear and grow towards feeling confident in who you are as a mother and a person. God is with you, and he will help you, strengthen you, and give you a hand as you walk through the days of motherhood.
Brittany shares her story of how God took her through a season of loss to find his perfect peace. Her testimony encourages listeners to believe truly how good God is.

Welcome back to the kitchen table! This week Bethany is sharing some things God has been teaching her lately about how to deal with fear in our kids.
Our first instinct as a parent is to want to make that fear go away. We want to talk it out and rationalize it with our child. But, what if we approach this with a more Kingdom focused perspective. What if instead of rationalizing it away, we help our child understand why they have fear and how to lean on God through that.
We can use something even like a child’s fear to equip them in their faith. Sometimes this takes a mindset shift.
Bethany shares the 3 P’s of mindset shift that God has been showing her lately.
These three P’s work together to show us how to approach a child who is fearful and how to help them find Power in God to overcome it.

Do you ever feel totally alone as you walk through all the different ages and stages with your kids? Today, Bethany is sharing some questions she has gotten from other mamas to remind us all that other moms face the same things you do. And the good news is, none of us are alone in it!
Jesus is walking along with you. You are on a journey with your kids and he is walking right alongside you.
You do not have to be perfect! You don’t have to have the right answer for everything, you don’t have to know the perfect way to communicate with each child, that perfection is reserved for Christ alone.
