In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the Caps shootout win over the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres got on the board first and the Capitals had to claw their way back into the game to pick up a win in the shootout. The Caps got some great production. T.J. Oshie scores his 18th goal of the season on the power play to cut the deficit to 2-1. Oshie extends his point streak to four games (2g, 2a) and has now recorded 15 points in his last 14 games (8g, 7a).Evgeny Kuznetsov scores his 12th goal of the season to cut the deficit to 3-2. With the goal, Kuznetsov ties Mike Ridley (547) for the ninth-most points in franchise history.Alex Ovechkin scores his 37th goal of the season to cut the deficit to 4-3. It marks Ovechkin's 817th career goal and his 402nd career goal scored at home, passing Mike Gartner for the fourth-most home goals in NHL history.Tom Wilson scores his eighth goal of the season with 1:08 remaining in the third period to tie the game 4-4. Since returning from injury on Jan. 8, Wilson's eight goals rank tied for second on Washington.

This game also saw the return of Alex Ovechkin who missed some time due to a lower body injury. There was also a scary moment as Rasmus Sandin was hit by a puck and had to be assisted off the ice. He later returned to the game.
