Joseph, guided by the hand of God, continues to test the character of his brothers. The have done well so far but are now about to enter their final test.
As the final test is applied, the brothers and especially Judah come through in flying colors. Now at last, the brothers are ready to be reconciled to Joseph. God has worked wonderfully in everyone and now God will begin to work through them.
All of this has been under the sovereign hand of God. God has faithfully worked in and through all these men in order that He would work through them to His glory alone.

This is an amazing paragraph that we look at in this study. It is Paul's concluding exhortation to all who are in Christ concerning our responsibility towards God. This passage is the greatest statement and instruction on the spiritual warfare that we all are living in.
This exhortation is to all who are in Christ. We are commanded to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. We obey by putting on the whole armor of God. We do this because the battle we are in is spiritual not physical. It is a battle take place in the heavenlies. It is a battle that is taking place right now.
Have we put on and taken up the whole armor of God? Are we ready to stand in the power and might of the Lord?

God continues to use Joseph in order to test the hearts of his brothers. Joseph is a godly man completely surrendered to God. We can therefore be certain that all that Joseph does is directed by God.
All the events over these past few chapters, all the incredible drama and long lapses of time will eventually conclude. At this point we will see the wisdom, love and sovereignty of God.
God has not changed. Today, He still applies His wisdom, love and sovereignty in the lives of all those who are in Christ.

Paul continues this section by going into another specific relationship. Having completed his commands concerning the husband wife relationship, he now moves on to the parent child and will conclude with the master slave relationship. These relationships are all a reflection of our relationship with Jesus.
Therefore, the key to all our relationships is our relationship with Jesus. Are we walking in obedience? Are we filled with the Holy Spirit? Do we live in the fear of God? This will define a person in a right relationship with Jesus. The key to right with one another in Christ is to be right with Jesus.

Over the next few chapters, we will see Joseph and his brothers reunited. There will be reconciliation between them but it will not be instant. True reconciliation requires sincere repentance and humble confession of sin. A heart must be right with God before it can be right with other men. Superficial lip service, shallow repentance will only bring a fragile, short-lived truce.
Joseph will treat his brothers roughly. So much so that it could be misunderstood. But remember, Joseph has completely forgiven his brothers. He is a man that holds no grudges. Joseph treats his brothers with love, patience and wisdom in order that they would come to true repentance. Reconciliation is not possible apart from true repentance.
As we go through this, remember that we have been reconciled to God through Jesus.

In this study we transition from our walk in Christ to making application in our relationships as believers.
The first relationship we look at is the husband wife relationship. As we will see, a godly marriage in Christ Jesus can only be possible if we are walking in obedience, continually being filled with the Spirit and living in the fear of God.
A godly marriage in Christ Jesus is more critical than we can imagine. It dramatically affects our children and the church. Also, it is a critical part of our witness before a lost and dying world.

In this chapter we see the mighty sovereign hand of God moving. Joseph has been thoroughly prepared by God. Now God will raise him up to the position for which he has been prepared.
Joseph has spent thirteen years in God's school of preparation. It has been a slow, hard and painful preparation. But now he is ready for the task that God has prepared him for. Joseph will be used fully to the glory of God.
It is not pedigree or degree that makes a man of God. It is the anointing of God that only results from great brokenness in the school of Christ.

We now come to the fifth command concerning our walk with the Lord. Paul has commanded us to walk worthy, to walk holy, to walk in love, to walk in the light and now to walk circumspectly. This fifth command concludes this section in Ephesians.
The question we must now ask is obvious. How is my walk. Not my walk yesterday or my walk tomorrow. How is my walk today?
Having a great walk with the Lord depends on several things. First, we must know who we are in Christ. Secondly, we need to know God's word and live in obedience to God's word. And finally, we must be filled with the Holy Spirt.
How if your walk?

We continue to look at Joseph being prepared by God to be the man that He has called him to be. The preparation is difficult to say the least. It seems that God has sent the perfect person to Joseph who will play a major role in Joseph getting out of prison.
Indeed, the butler will play a key role in Joseph being released from prison. However, the time is not now. Joseph will remain in prison for two more years. God is still working in Joseph. God is also working in the circumstances and people surrounding Joseph.
While Joseph may not understand now, he will definitely understand once God has removed him from prison and elevated him to the role that God has prepared. Joseph is learning the great lesson of waiting on God.
God's work must be done His way. But it must also be done in His perfect time.

In this study we will take a deep look at Ephesians 4:11. The entirety of the passage and the verse we will key in on is straightforward, hard hitting and quite frankly may be uncomfortable. Regardless, it is God's word. We must hear it, know it and obey it.
I will be attaching links to the email blast to help you on being a Berean. Unfortunately I cannot attach them to this podcast. I will list out the sources that you are able to go to. I urge you to search out what is being taught, and by all means, do not resist what God is commanding us to do.
