South African businessman, Patrice Motsepe, has asked for unity in solving the problems that confront African football. Motsepe was confirmed as president of the Confederation of African Football in Rabat, Morocco, where he stood for the hot seat without being opposed. The 59-year-old Motsepe was assured of the position, following the withdrawal of three other candidates, who will now serve as first and second vice-presidents, respectively. The South African becomes the first president of CAF from an Anglophone country in the organisation's 64 year history. Sifiso Ramara reports....
