Corruption Watch has condemned the actions by the State Security agency as well as SARS for taking legal action against the author of the book, "The President's Keepers" - Jacques Pauw and the Sunday Times. A non-profit breast cancer organisation, Reach for Recovery, is urging South Africans to show compassion to breast cancer survivors, this as we mark Breast Cancer Awareness month. Approximately 19.4 million women, aged 15 years and older, face the risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer. A study released by medical journal, Lancet, has predicted that South Africa could see an increase of almost 80 percent in the number of cases by 2030. President Jacob Zuma has once again come under fire over his shock cabinet reshuffle. The announcement which was made through a media statement saw SACP general secretary Blade Nzimande removed from the higher education portfolio. Nzimande now remains an ordinary member of parliament. This week the Office of the Tax Ombud released its annual report in Pretoria. In previous reports the most prominent issue was the refund in payments to taxpayers. In the last report, data requested by the Tax Ombud showed that there had been a spike in refunds paid in July of each year with it becoming progressively less in the first quarter of the year.
