In the wake of Thursday's devastating shooting in Bishop Lavis that claimed seven lives, Western Cape police have apprehended three suspects, aged 17, 24, and 29. The trio now faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm, and is expected to appear in court on Monday. 13 people have now died in two tragic mass shootings in the Western Cape. On Wednesday night, five people were killed in Atlantis, north of Cape Town, followed by the murder of seven others in Bishop Lavis in the Cape flats on Thursday.
