The Weekly Substandard Expanded Universe

We dug deep in our archives and finally prepared a pre-Thanksgiving episode for release. Vanessa Hudgens, Kristi Noem, and Tulsi Gabbard on the same podcast? Unclear what else one could want. Chris and Thomas has news from France, pigeons are expensive, and what's up with the alligator sex?

We are once again joined by Mrs. Last to chat about her husband's eccentricities, what went wildly wrong when she tried to buy him a watch, spicy poop, minivan problems, and their upcoming move to N. Alaska.

Episode? 100. We've made it.

The Pepsi Center gets a new name, chimneys cause problems, Ryan gives Thomas advice on which apartment to pick, and Chris has discovered a new streaming service.

On this week's episode, we dive into a discussion of the movie PASSENGERS from 2008. At Ryan's behest, we sat down to enjoy what we all expected to be an epic movie. It was...interesting. Anne Hathaway, call your office.

Ryan has a new favorite kids show. Chris discovered space toilets. More Ted Lasso. If you thought the food choices on the last episode were disgusting, wait until you hear about South Dakota cuisine.

Can anything be a pizza topping? What are all of these strange dishes? On this this week's episode, Ming joins us to (mainly) chat about delicious food items. We also discuss the recent comedy, Ted Lasso, from Apple TV.

Lara returns to the podcast! Together with our beloved hosts, she tackles airplane food, feet, hurricanes, and animal movies. Lara has also been to the movie theater since it opened back up and has a report on the new The New Mutants movie.

Flagg Taylor returns to the podcast after his sabbatical to chat about his vacation, surfing, and ice cream. Thomas wants to talk about TikTok while Ryan is trying to survive in the harsh Austin-weather.

Sonny bunch joins us for our second movie draft! We had so much fun with the first one that the only way we thought would improve the draft was to invite someone from the Subbeacon to do it with us. We also talk about The Bulwark Goes to Hollywood, what JVL and Michael Fassbender have in common, Zoom school, and Thomas' journey back home to Sweden.
