  • The One with a Lovely Theme
We’ve got a theme this week, just in time for Thanksgiving! And it’s this: MEH, eff it! That said…
Shaun does a thing about a long pig feast in Zimbabwe, WHATEVER!
Phil is back on his AI kick but this time…it STINKS!
Covidiot of the Week, Three for the Road, and Trainwreck Headlines are here, too. No game this week because ehhhh!
    Eh, MERRY TURKEYS!

  • Headaches, Deep Fakes, and Heartaches
Along we roll, ever closer to the WEIRD holiday season, and this week brings perhaps the wildest, strangest stories of the whole year on the show. Maybe!
Phil’s up first, with some AI “deepfake” musical news, including a sample of computer-generated tunes! Said robo-songs prove to be, by turns, fascinating, baffling, and deeeeeply creepy! And the good doctor presents us with quite the modern conundrum: if a computer cooks up a song IN THE STYLE of a living, human singer…is it theft? A tribute? It’s a hunk’a’hunka burning ethical grey-area, people!
Next, Shaun continues his Phil-frustrating theme of food and drink-based deaths to honor November: this time, it’s a mid-aughts tale of one terrible and tenacious wife hellbent on axing hubby number four! Trouble is, our blushing bride is not…she’s not GIFTED at murder. Alas, what she lacks in killer instinct, she more than makes up for in stick-to-it attitude. Of course, what she has there is ALSO offset by downright idiotic levels of greed, sooooo it’s a whole lotta dark fun!
AND, as ever, we’ve got a fresh Covidiot of the Week, six rapid-fire odd-but-true news stories in Three for the Road, and Phil’s Trainwreck Headlines to boot. Oh, and a fresh new game! Wow, what a lineup! GET IN HERE!

  • Arsenic and Old Robo-Sweat
At long last, the election is behind us (maybe? kinda? MAKE IT STOP!), Shaun and Phil move on to far more important matters: the oozing edge of weird news from around this odd planet of ours. SO!
Shaun went and got himself a whole theme again, this time making November ALL about food and drink related DEATHS. Ergo, we move from the frozen wastes of Kiviak-slurping Greenland to the slightly-less-frigid northern Maine, where a church meetup in 2003 turned deadly…and then things got weird. Huh.
Phil, on the other hand, has a lead on some bizarre Japanese science all about…well…the OTHER hand! Robotics and lonely, lonely men combined forces to bring us a new age: robo-hand-holding! And boy, it just doesn’t sound better when you hear the details. Whew! AND THAT LEADS TO A NEW GAME!
Worry not, for there’s also a new Covidiot of the week, fast-paced-WTFs apenty in Three for the Road, and more banter than you could EVER hope for! Which is probably a low bar! Wee!

  • Tangent to the Past!
Well OF COURSE Shaun and Phil recorded an episode the day BEFORE Election Day that will only come out the day AFTER Election Day! They’re plainly mad as a pair of hatters, so it only makes sense! Anyway, come ride along, future-dwellers, and hear how comedy sounded BEFORE the New Era of (circle one) Hope! Despair! Come back to a simpler time, when everything was REALLY weird! Not like now.
So! Phil leads off with a gripping (har har) story about octopods TASTING…with their FEET? Er…arms. Tentacles. SUCKER-COVERED APPENDAGES? Anyway, it’s bizarre and you’ll love it.
But. In Shaun’s Cabinet of the Macabre this week is something a bit less loveable: our resident purveyor of death and gloom welcomes the Thanksgiving season with word of a nauseating and, sometimes, DEADLY “delicacy” out of the frozen wastes in Greenland. Meet Kiviak, a stuffed horror you’ll have to hear about to believe. BLECH.
Anyway, there’s also a new Covidiot of the week, Three for the Road, and a few plugs done while BURNING UP FROM A SEARING hot sauce! Ayup! We vote for YOU! To listen. Ha! Hoo boy!

  • Somewhere Between Thunder Thighs and Lincoln’s Beard
“Halloween is upon us!” as the poet said, and Phil and Shaun have come, like so many headless horsefolk, to hurl the best of the week’s strange events right in your quivering face! Ahem. On we go! In this, the final week of October, Shaun brings out the eerie, murderous Venezuelan horror figure, El Silbon! Beware of rattling bones and whistling in the night…this is gonna be a good one! Over in all things SCIENCE!, the good doctor discusses a recent, if flawed, scientific study attempting to find the SCARIEST movie ever made! And they sure did come up with a definitive winner…but is the study up to scratch? What are the fellas’ takes on their findings? Come on in and find out! AND OF COURSE we’ve got a brand new game, PLUS a new Covidiot of the Week, a blurred-to-perfection batch of Trainwreck Headlines, and even more! Get in here…before it’s too laaaaate! BOO!

Come, hear about the Acheri, a tale that COMBINES ghosts, creepy kids, and maybe a dehumidifier? Anyway, it’s a certified creep-fest! And for your SCIENCE this week, the good doctor considers the noble Twinkie. What ABOUT the Twinkie, you ask? Well…he went and found a truly rancid, disgusting, and scientifically fascinating one! Hooray? If that ain’t enough for ya, try gettin’ down with our spot-the-fake Trainwreck Headlines, chug some BRAND NEW GAME, and finish this odd meal with a bizarre nightcap of fast-paced weird news bits from our messed up, freakazoid planet!
