This week, I get to share the second half of my two-part conversation with Michael Rutherford. (If you missed part one, be sure to listen to it here!) We continue our conversation about thyroid health, and there are so many great takeaways in this one!
Michael and I connected via the great land of Instagram, where he shares holistic health practices as The Thyroid Coach. From a young age, Michael was no stranger to extreme digestive issues. IBS contributed to a horrible quality of life. He was consuming 2000mg of Ibuprofen daily, with constant pain and non-existent energy. It wasn’t until a conversation with his dad that he was led down the path of diet changes and holistic approaches. Through this, he experienced healing change. Now a champion for nutrition and health, he equips men and women through training, coaching and community at Fundamenta Wealth. Michael lives in the Pacific Northwest with his twin boys.
In this episode, we dig a little deeper into why “your labs look fine” isn’t the end of the road, why we often need to eat more food, and some super helpful insight into Vitamin D. I know you’re going to enjoy this half of the conversation, and all the practical tips along the way!

If you’re a human, this episode is for you! Don’t let the title fool you. While we absolute dive deep into gut health and healing, the principles Molly and I chat about extend to so much of life. I’m thrilled to share this conversation with you today!
My guest, Molly Pflederer, is an integrative women’s health coach with a passion to help women glorify God in their fitness journey. She’s no stranger to health struggles. Her journey held daily headaches, joint pain, unexplained chest pain, fatigue, brain fog and early signs of depression. The years she spent searching for answers and finding hope + healing were a huge catalyst for the passion to equip women today.
In our conversation, we cover the topic of gut health and healing, what the heck that really means, and how to take steps toward healing when you’re just too exhausted to move. We also discuss a way to approach health goals that transcends quick fix culture. You’ll walk away with a beautiful mix of practical and inspirational nuggets to move forward in your own journey.

As a new mom, I found postpartum to be a shocking series of events with my hormones, body, and emotions. Navigating this period of life on sparse sleep — and unrealistic expectations — I not only floundered but felt like I was drowning. And I know many of you can relate: this has been a topic many women have asked me to cover over the years.
I’ll be sharing my entire health and postpartum story in an upcoming episode, but today we’re taking a deep dive into hormones + postpartum recovery!
I’ll be honest, there’s so much misunderstood about the postpartum recovery period. And while we’re surprised by our issues popping up six, nine, even twelve months postpartum, much of this is directly connected and correlates with our misunderstanding, and quite frankly, disrespect for this precious recovery window.
In today’s episode, we’re taking a journey through postpartum by taking a look from a historical perspective as well as unpacking the role of hormones and adrenals in this season. We’ll also look forward with hope as I share practical ways to biohack the postpartum period and honor your body along the way.
Friend, my hope is that you’ll leave this episode giving yourself radical grace that flows into every season of your life!

How do you feel about your health journey right now?
Overwhelmed?
Defeated?
Inconsistent?
A hot mess? 😅
You're not alone! Those are common themes I hear so many clients repeating. That's why I knew we had to record THIS podcast episode.
Today’s guest is someone I admire so much: my friend Cameo Pierce. I call her the female James Clear, but she truly shines in mindset, systems, and habits. Cameo and I connected on social media and have since been able to grab coffee in person, too. I always look forward to her message on holistic health and mindset and knew she needed to be a guest here on the Wholly Well Podcast!
Cameo’s story is many of our stories. She found herself the product of a messy life: steeped in poor habits, poor relationships, and a poor mindset. Several years ago, she decided she wanted to choose differently. You’ll hear more of her story in our chat about how she made the choice to change.
In this episode, we talk about the courage to choose differently, what to do when you feel defeated in your health journey, and if balance really exists in life. I know you’re going to connect with Cameo’s practical yet powerful tips surrounding goal setting, social media, and mindset habits!

Cait Crowell lives outside of Denver, CO with her husband Stuart and her adorable french bulldog Denali. Many of ya’ll know her from instagram where you can find her @whatcaitate. I’ve come to know Cait both in person and on instagram, like many of you, I quickly connected with her message on holistic health and transparency, I also connected deeply with her consistent message of honesty, vulnerability and burnout in nutritional therapy and a return to a more intentional and minimal way of life. Cait has always made time for me and my endless questions on/about nutritional therapy, running a practice, social media strategy and more. On this episode I hope to step outside of the box of what you might expect two nutritional therapists would converse about. I’m passionate about people’s story and how our real lives mesh and flow into our work. Cait and I touch on topics including how she has flowed more into mindset work alongside nutritional therapy and the integral role of mindset shifts, shifting her business and brand, emphasizing foundational health practices, diet culture, taking a break from instagram and the lessons that taught her, achieving balance in her day-to-day and her favorite local eatery in/around Denver.
At the end: I’m excited to announce a project I’ve been working on for a little over two months now. I’m launching my first ever step-by-step, play-by-play E-book, titled “reclaiming your mood, sleep + sanity.” This is all the dirty details about my battle with adrenal fatigue, insomnia and crippling anxiety, the strategies and helpful tips I’ve learned along the way, all condensed and delivered to your inbox. I’m passionate about sharing my story in hopes it can help just one person find answers in one place, and save them hours of research. I look forward to putting this bit of respite out into the world. What is "Nutritional Therapy"?
Optimal health is everyone’s goal!
But as we make our way through life, we often develop symptoms of ill health and feel a loss of vitality.
Nutritional Therapy Practitioners dig deep to identify the root cause of these symptoms and address underlying imbalances so that the client can thrive with optimal health.
What is an example of an “imbalance” you might ask?
Imagine if you consumed too many omega-6 fatty acids and not enough omega-3 fatty acids (That’s right there are different types of Omega Acids- see why NTP’s are helpful?)
This imbalance can contribute to a host of issues:
One more example that’s seen frequently? -someone who is deficient in a particular nutrient, such as iron.
Showing symptoms of:
So what exactly do we do?
We use a comprehensive Nutritional Assessment tool to graph an individual’s areas of strength and weakness (or “imbalances”) in the categories of:
These six areas are the foundations of nutritional therapy. Join me as I take a deep dive into what these foundations mean for optimal, or not-so-optimal health and wellness.

There are five things I want my audience to know about Kelsey Jack, functional nutritional therapy practitioner and how I got where I am today. Obviously I can't say these five things are solely responsible for who I am, but they've definitely had a large influence in who I am and my personality, how I share and absorb information, etcetera. My goal is for you to feel deeply connected on a personal level to what I'm sharing and who is sharing it behind the mic. I thought this would be a great way for you (my audience) to get to know me! Here are five fun facts about who I am and how I tick. Thanks for listening!

Four years ago, Kelsey and Josh Jack came to a conviction that sounded early at the time: construction and wellness were converging, and the next wave in health would not come from a supplement, a…
The Wholly Well Podcast is where that conviction lives. Hosted by Kelsey Jack, FNTP, founder and CEO of Wholly Well Built, the show brings together the two worlds she and Josh Jack have spent their careers in. Kelsey spent a decade as a functional nutritional therapy practitioner working the questions that don't resolve on a lab panel: why the fatigue doesn't lift, why hormones stay stubborn, why sleep breaks, why someone can fix their food, their supplements, and their stress and still wake up feeling wrong. Somewhere in those years she ran into a variable her field wasn't accounting for. The water clients bathed in. The air in the bedroom where they spent a third of their lives. The lighting that kept their bodies convinced it was noon at nine at night. The wiring behind the headboard. The mold behind the drywall no test was going to find. Josh, meanwhile, had spent twenty years in commercial construction, starting in the field at fifteen, and continuing to build. Wholly Well Built exists because they stopped treating the body and the building as separate disciplines, and this podcast is the ongoing conversation about what happens when you solve them together.
With The Built Environment Series, the show expands to include the people deciding what gets built and how: architects, engineers, developers, physicians, designers, and mold and indoor air experts, alongside the functional health practitioners who have been part of this show since the beginning. Every conversation comes back to the six things a building gets right or wrong, and that almost no one is talking about: air, water, light, materials, electrical, and spatial flow.
These are conversations shaping the future of construction, wellness, and real estate, from two people who saw it coming and are building it now.
Fifty episodes of functional health remain in the catalog. The next chapter starts here.
The next frontier of health is the room you are standing in.
