Laura does not like seeing Sam acting evil, especially in the scene with Jo, and we discuss how uncomfortable this scene is.

We also discuss why Sam has Ava’s car, whether Sam had any control at all while he was possessed, and how you know it’s a bad situation when Dean is the one panicking!

This week Joy and Laura talk about season 2 episode 13 “Houses of the Holy”. Sam and Dean investigate when people start killing and saying an angel told them to do it. Was it really an angel or just a vengeful spirit?

We consider the reasons why Dean doesn’t believe in angels but does believe in demons, and how this belief is wrapped up in the trauma of losing his mum, and we discuss Jensen’s stunt driving.

We also discuss/argue about whether two wrongs make a right, and if Dean threatened to kill Sam during this episode!

Joy’s Easter eggs are real accounts of people who think they were saved by angels, including a personal story from her own family. This then prompts a discussion about how to listen to your own intuition, especially if you have anxiety.

Sam and Dean investigate the lore of people selling their souls to the devil for fame and fortune, after two people report seeing black dogs just before their deaths. The brothers also finally get confirmation that their Dad sold his soul to the Yellow Eyed Demon in exchange for Dean’s life.

We discuss our thoughts on this episode’s show lore being based on a real person, how funny it is that Dean didn’t know what MySpace was, all of the different Demon eyes we have seen on the show so far, and whether Dean has become too unlikeable as a character.

We also debate the differing attitudes of the brothers when it comes to saving the victims in this episode, and to no one’s surprise Joy takes Dean’s side and Laura takes Sam’s.

This week Joy and Laura review season 2 episode 7 “The Usual Suspects”. Dean has been arrested for murder, and Sam teams up with one of the detectives to get to the bottom of what’s really going on.

We discuss how many movie references are too many for one episode, Laura adds random roadside attractions to our podcast road trip, and Joy has many issues with this episode that we get into.

We also discuss how much Dean has changed since dying twice and being resurrected, because he doesn’t seem to care much about people anymore, and he’s not very sympathetic now. Did dying mess with him and make him a darker character??

Joy’s first Easter egg is about the ‘Flex Squad Scandal’ from Baltimore, that is very similar to the corrupt cop situation we have in this episode, and was happening around the same time this episode aired. Then she also tells us the story of a ghost who helped solve her own murder, which is basically the plot of this episode.
