As I look forward to 2023 I’m contemplating what’s next for season 3 of The Work IN and what’s next for me both personally and professionally. Every year I try to learn/do/explore something new as a way to grow and break out of those ruts and samskaras in the mind. It’s not exactly a new year's resolution and not exactly goal setting, not exactly a vision board either but something that falls somewhere in the middle. I have several ideas for 2023. Some of them have already begun. And that has me thinking about change in general and the energy and mindset around it.
Find out what's next for The Work IN and soak in some inspiration to change and grow!

Today we’re talking about fuel for energy beyond the physical body. How to personalize the prescription on our plate for the best energy and nourishment. Our body is how we interact with the world so it’s important to take care of it. It is our vehicle. When something goes wrong in one system it affects all the other systems. So how can we fuel and nourish it in a way that supports our energy beyond just physical? The question most fit pros get more than any other (myself included) how should I eat? What should I eat? What’s the best diet if I want to get x,y,z? So let’s start our work IN.

Welcome back. I’ve been busy the past few weeks and months preparing for our Shakti Encounter retreat coming up on November 12. So I thought I would take a few episodes and introduce you to some of the concepts that we’ll be exploring there.
I have always been fascinated by energy in the body. First, how to get more of it and how to harness it. How to optimize it. How to replenish it. How to overcome a lack of it. And eventually how to maintain it. I spent years as my own guinea pig.
We'll discuss the Koshas, the subtle body and what is charge.

The last 6 weeks we’ve been discussing multiple aspects of mindset as it relates to the fitness industry and solopreneurship. From the foundation of knowing who you are and your core beliefs as a foundation for your business choices to imposter syndrome, shiny object syndrome, self promotion & money mindset. Today I wanted to introduce you to someone who has been a mentor and coach to me and many of my colleagues over the past several years as we navigate the shifts in the fitness industry to online business.
Sandy is the co-founder of Marvelous Software, Soulful MBA, and Connectable.Biz Software. After an amazing twenty year career in footwear and gait analysis, Sandy sold her million-dollar brick and mortar retail business and clinic. She now brings her business experience to the online space where she loves to create community, teach, and inspire other women to find the freedom and impact they desire.

Do you need a coach or a therapist?
Shameless self promotion - Why is it so hard to promote yourself, good girl syndrome, imposter syndrome and the ultimate question. Do you need a coach? Or a therapist?
We don’t think twice when we see ads on television, or hear them on our favorite podcast or even Facebook. If we don’t want to see them or don’t like the product we simply skip over them, fast forward or go get a snack. There’s no judgment of those companies and businesses that are using those platforms to sell their products. No one thinks “geeze Procter and gamble is so conceited, they can’t stop talking about tide pods.” No, we just enjoy tide pods. And sometimes I even feel really grateful when FB sends me an ad for something that’s right up my alley. Like the ads for the Vintage Market coming up in my area. That’s something I love to attend but wouldn’t necessarily know about.
For some reason there’s a cultural archetype of sales people that they are in some way sleazy, or duplicitous and manipulative. That in order to sell something you need to trick people into buying it. And it’s even worse if you’re selling a service in the wellness industry.
Today I’d like to explore some of the reasons why women in the fitness and wellness space have such a hard time marketing and promoting themselves and how to reframe your thinking and break out of the “shame” of self promotion to step into the spotlight.

How your money beliefs can sabotage your success before you even get started. Pricing your offerings so that people want to pay you!
Money mindset is the subconscious saboteur of solopreneurs everywhere. It doesn’t matter how passionate you are about what you have to offer, how good you are at what you do, or how incredible your product is. If you can’t ask for money in exchange for it you’re going to struggle as a business.
