Democrat Doug Jones Winning Alabama Senate Race by Tiny Margin

The results are in for the US Senate race in Alabama

With 62 of 67 counties reporting Democrat Doug Jones won with 5038 of the vote to Republican Roy Moore who earned 4824 The write-in vote of 138 proved to be a deciding factor in this red state rocked by allegations against Moore

However Roy Moore did not concede defeat last night

Realize that when the vote is this close that its not over Weve still got to go by the rules about this recount provision But we also know that God is always in control Part of the problem with this campaign is weve been put in a hole if you will

It reminds me of a passage in Psalm 40 I waited patiently for theLord thats what weve got to do and He inclined unto me and heard my cry He brought me up also out of an horrible pit out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings And He put a new song in my mouth

And thats what weve got to do is wait on God and let this process play out The votes are still coming in

A Moore campaign spokesman also came to the podium and suggested there might be a recount

The vote has to be certified later this month and then after the vote is certified if its within one-half a percent the law requires there to be a recount You know the military ballots arent even in yet theyve not been counted

California Has Suffered Record-Breaking Destruction From Wildfires This Year

There are six wild fires still raging in California one of which has consumed over 200000 acres So far this year almost 9000 fires have burned down 13 million acres in the state A total of 10000 buildings in northern California were destroyed and now about 1000 structures with the latest fires in southern California making this the worst year for fires in California history

The World View spoke with James Fewell a sophomore at Moody Bible Institute located in Pasadena California

When Im driving home from Pasadena to get back all the way up to Northern California when I get on the Freeway 210 you can see the smoke on the canyon in the distance

Fewell talked about the dry conditions

We just got out of a drought Really its been a pretty dry season of life for the past year in California
