The First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs Texas met for Sunday services under a tent since the church itself is both the location of an ongoing crime investigation and unsuitable for worship until they can complete a major cleaning and renovation It was their first meeting after the deadly mass shooting a week ago that killed 26 including an unborn child

The US Senate race in Alabama is now pretty much neck and neck One poll puts Judge Roy Moore four points ahead while another poll puts the Democrat candidate Doug Jones four points ahead

This comes after allegations that Roy Moore had an inappropriate relationship with at least one teenaged girl some 38 years ago Moore says he plans to sue The Washington Post for what he calls completely false allegations

Porter took a closer look at the woman who made the most damaging claim against Roy Moore

Look the woman who accused him the supposed 14-year-old is a self-admitted suicidal drug-using three-time divorcee who filed for bankruptcy three times whose statute for limitations on her claim without a witness ran out 35 years ago

Porter said that the accusations being leveled against Roy Moore are not in keeping with his demonstrably impressive character for the last several decades

The people who molest and attack women typically do not stop that behavior unless theres a road to Damascus experience You dont go from a guy thats completely immersed in self-gratification like Bill Clinton to a faithful Ten Commandment marriage-honoring man who at the expense of his own career gave up his job twice That is not Judge Moore Hes not a Bill Clinton Hes not a Harvey Weinstein He is not the kind of man that they are depicting him to be

Porter and other Christian leaders are not backing down

I stand with him now because hes a man of integrity and false accusations are not going to fly because the people of Alabama are not going to buy this depiction from the media

I encourage people not only to encourage our friends in Alabama to vote for Judge Moore but to donate now to his campaign We need to rise up and make sure that this godly man goes to the Senate to help drain the swamp

Sean Hannity Would it be unusual for you as a 32-year-old guy to have dated a woman as young as 17 that would be a 15-year difference or a girl 18 Do you remember dating girls that young at that time

Roy Moore Not generally no If I did Im not going to dispute these things but I dont remember anything like that

Hannity summarized the allegations of a woman who said that 40 years ago Judge Moore when he was in his early 30s had an inappropriate encounter with her when she was 14 This was Judge Moores response

Roy Moore It never happened And I dont even like hearing it because it never happened And theyre doing this four weeks away after 40 years in public service Ive run five campaigns This has never been brought up Its never been even mentioned All of a sudden four weeks out theyre bringing it up Its a direct attack on this campaign It involved a 14-year-old girl which I would never have had any contact with

Theyre doing it do defeat the Senate campaign This is a completely manufactured story Theyre losing Theyre 11 points behind They dont like my acknowledgment that there is a God Weve refused to debate them because of their very liberal stance on transgenderism and transgenderism in the military and in bathrooms Theyre desperate

Politicocom reports that Moore said I have the highest regard for the protection of young children To be attacked for allegations of sexual misconduct contradicts my entire career of the law I have not been guilty of sexual misconduct with anyone

Nonetheless Senators Steve Daines and Mike Lee announced that they had withdrawn their endorsements of Moores candidacy

Other Republicans though are standing by Moore Alabama Congressman Robert Aderholt said he was still very suspicious of the timing of the womens stories
