In this episode NAFI Editor Beth Stanton interviews Fred Stahl, PhD to share his valuable insights from years of experience in the flight training industry, including his views on the importance of becoming an Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) and what drives him to contribute to NAFI Mentor Magazine.

Fred Stahl, Ph.D., began instructing pilots in 1992. He has worked both independently and at flight schools and has taught aviation ground school courses in various setting. From 2016 to 2018 Stahl was chief flight instructor at AOPA where he managed the organization's in house flight training and pilot proficiency programs. He resides in Frederick, Maryland.
