In episode #155 of The XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar meets Ed Vyvyan and Tom Rea from dream rock four-piece junodream about their debut album, Pools Of Colour.
Lined ten tracks deep, the band's debut album, Pools of Colour, is about coming to terms with insignificance. The profoundly immersive dream-rock LP asks essential questions, delving into the more insidious and disconnected parts of modernity and the human condition, presenting a band more interested in a cohesive, egoless whole than the perspective of four separate members. In sacrificing the desires of the self, they say, your creative collaboration becomes more fruitful and the world around you more colourful.
Sharing a deep connection resulting from being best friends for a decade, alongside a DIY formula at the heart of everything they do, junodream is building a captivating world within their tight community of fans and collaborators.
In the five years since their inception, junodream has amassed nearly half a million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 23 million collective streams on DSPs, forging blistering and immersive live performances, including a rapturous set at this year's The Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
In this interview, Ed and Tom discuss their fantastic debut album, Pools of Colour and lots more.

In episode #148 of The XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar meets and speaks to Michael C. Hall, Peter Yanowitz and Matt Katz-Bohen from Princess Goes about their 2nd album Come of Age.
Come Of Age is the trio's most accessible yet innovative work to date, replete with songs that traverse a thrilling and often surprising sonic and lyrical landscape. There's a clear cohesiveness to the 12 songs on the album that manage to be catchy and intoxicating, soundtrack-y musicscapes for the ages, synth-heavy but multi-faceted.
Hall, Katz-Bohen and Yanowitz are seasoned performers forging new creative ground together in Princess Goes: Hall may be well-known for playing moralistic serial killer Dexter Morgan in Showtime's hit series Dexter as well as David Fisher in HBO's revered Six Feet Under, but he's been singing and performing his whole life – commanding the stage with his presence as a frontman. Katz-Bohen has played with Blondie since 2008, while Yanowitz is a veteran of The Wallflowers and his own group, Morningwood.
In this interview, Michael, Peter and Matt discuss the making of Come of Age, upcoming live shows, and lots more. And I also squeeze in a question to Michael about Dexter.

In this interview, Taylor and Lauren Johson discuss the making of Grandstand, upcoming live shows and lots more.

In episode #146 of The XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar meets Alex Lowe from Hurricane #1 to discuss their latest album 'Backstage Waiting To Go On.' With 2 top 20 albums and 7 top 40 UK hit singles under their belt and over 1 million albums sold - Hurricane #1 is a force to be reckoned with.
Backstage Waiting To Go On is one of those albums you only have to play once, and you will probably remember every track with great fondness. It could be the last of the great Rock'n'roll albums.... or maybe, should I say, one of the last. Its upbeat attitude with catchy, overwhelming choruses can be enjoyed in any situation. With so many influences in one album, from the Beatles to the Stones to The Stooges, this album could be part of the bygone days when real people played music. It's a pure and simple Rock'n'roll album.
In this interview, frontman Alex Lowe discusses their new album Backstage Waiting To Go On, his battle with Cancer, and more.
