October 26 Discussion: Christa Pike's Failed Execution and Satanic Prayer | Ep. 93
What do a failed execution, a Satanic prayer, and Gypsy Rose Blanchard have in common? In this unconventional episode, Adira is joined by Natalie Rose of Sips of Grace podcast to discuss the unsettling events making headlines, the spiritual questions they raise, and the responsibility of the church.
First, they examine the failed lethal injection of Christa Pike and how Adira's experience as a death penalty appeals paralegal shapes her thinking on the case. Given the occult elements of Christa's crime, they dig into the possible spiritual explanations for her survival, as well as occult elements in the Gypsy Rose Blanchard and West Memphis 3 cases.

Adira and Natalie also react to a recent Satanic invocation at a Iowa city council meeting and consider what the public response reveals about spiritual conviction and fear of man. Finally, they talk about powerful testimonies they've heard recently and the stories they are hoping to find. Listen closely — maybe YOUR story is the perfect fit!

July 31 Finding Victory Over Sin in Scotland! | Ep. 89
I recently had the most unexpected encounter with a 19 year old Christian while hiking through the hills of Scotland. This is his story of growing up agnostic, yet finding faith through the sudden opening of his spiritual eyes. We also discussed the temptations that come with long-term travel and how the Lord intervenes.

May 21 From Atheism and Manifestation to Following Jesus! | Ep. 88
Josh Swanson grew up in church but believed the claims of Christianity were bogus "opium for the masses." In his eyes, religion was nothing more than a coping mechanism. But Josh himself was coping...with confusion around his biracial identity, loneliness, and more, all of which he sought to stifle with chemical substances. Until one late night in 2011, when the God of the Bible revealed Himself to Josh in an undeniable way. But the story doesn't end there.
After encountering the Lord, Josh resisted sanctification and ended up dabbling in manifestation, developing severe ulcerative colitis, going through a divorce, and finally experiencing true submission and new life in Christ.

April 30 Called OUT of a Secret Society — and to Expose It | Ep. 87
Former Omega Psi Phi member DB (@DBtheteacher) discusses the reality behind Greek organizations, their Freemason roots, and their incompatibility with fidelity to Christ. DB confesses his own ritualized abuse of younger fraternity members and revisits the violent upbringing that primed him for it.

Though the activities of these secret societies are shocking, they’re a result of the same “lust of the flesh” that tempts us all. This conversation is a convicting warning against all idolatry, no matter the form.

March 31 Surviving a Cult / Hyper-Charismatic False Teaching | Ep. 86
This is part 2 of Rachel Free’s testimony of overcoming abuse, both at the hands of her father and under church leadership. This is a crucial episode not only because of Rachel’s testimony, but also its lesson for our current moment. The word warns us of false prophets and leaders who will perform miracles, signs, and wonders seemingly in the name of Jesus, only to be told at judgment, “'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness'” (Matthew 21:23).

Everyone who claims Christ is not operating in the Holy Spirit. Wheat and tares anyone?! There are counterfeit spirits and counterfeit gospels, and many are being deceived. It’s time to wake up and outgrow our Christian naiveté. We pray that Rachel’s story will aid in that.
