Sex trafficking survivor Sula Lael details the childhood trauma that sparked her long history of sexual violence, as well as the radical freedom and healing she has since found in Christ. As Sula shares, she did not find faith at her lowest point; on the contrary, her surrender came only after she had gained everything ($$$), only to realize that she had nothing. Warning: This conversation touches on a number of difficult topics, including child sex abuse, self-harm, and suicide.

When Julie Mirlicourtois first joined The Oprah Winfrey Show, she considered herself too smart for religion. But through a series of events involving a psychic, a church, and a prison ministry, she and her husband Ryan both went from religious skeptics to confident, transformed Christians. And as she shares, this shift totally restored their marriage! Julie also unpacks her childhood curiosities about the spiritual realm, her ongoing battles against generational curses and career idolatry, her forthcoming documentary on the refugee crisis, and how God is using her experiences at Oprah for His glory.

I sit down with Eric Huffman, lead pastor of The Story Church and host of Maybe God Podcast. In this in-person interview, Eric reflects on his early skepticism of the Christian faith, his own history of false teaching, and how a trip to Israel changed the game. In sharing his own journey from unbelief to faith, Eric exposes the lies of a philosophy he calls "Christian-adjacent atheism." He also shares the miraculous story of the Story Church's new location...and when he cries, you'll probably cry too.

While in the throes of her drug addiction in 2020, Carolyn Bradley found herself in an Alabama hotel room with a group of violent men. For six months, these men exploited Carolyn for cash, forcing her to have frequent sex with random men. Though these months were the darkest months of her life, the Lord used it. As Carolyn shares, it was during her time in captivity that she met the risen Jesus.
In this episode, I chat with Carolyn and her hilarious father, Rusty! We discuss the details of Carolyn's captivity, how she finally got free, and the radical forgiveness that freed them both from lifelong bitterness.
