The public conversation surrounding Dr. Cheyenne Bryant has sparked a much larger discussion about mental health experts online, therapist credentials, professional titles, therapy vs. coaching, and how the public can know who to trust before seeking support.
After questions surfaced around how Dr. Cheyenne Bryant presented her educational background, expertise, and professional identity online, many people began asking deeper and necessary questions: How do I verify if someone is licensed? What is the difference between a therapist, psychologist, coach, and mental health expert? And what responsibility do platforms have when they position someone as a trusted voice in the mental health space?
In this episode, Doctor TK, a licensed clinical psychologist, breaks down the bigger conversation behind the fallout with clarity, nuance, and professional context. We’ll discuss how to check a provider’s credentials, why titles matter, what the public should know before seeking services, and how this moment impacts trust in the mental health field, especially within Black communities.

I built a $2M brand as a Clinical Psychologist, private practice owner, wife, and mom. In this video I'm breaking down exactly how digital products made that possible, from the free downloads I started with to the frameworks that helped me scale to $830K in 18 months and beyond. If you're a therapist or wondering whether digital products are ethical, realistic, or even possible for someone like you, this one is for you.

Why it's so hard to find a Black therapist — real talk with a licensed MFT who lived the search herself. From 5 failed attempts to find a Black therapist during the pandemic to becoming the answer for her community, this interview goes deep on the supply problem, the licensing journey, and what therapy really looks like behind the scenes.
In this Therapists Deserve Abundance podcast interview, I'm sitting down with Astrik Price, LMFT and Child Mental Health Specialist out of University Place, Washington. Astrid walks us through her full clinical journey — from undergrad sociology with a Law, Society and Justice minor, to a master's in marriage and family therapy, to 7 years at a community mental health agency serving at-risk youth and families on state insurance.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION MASTERCLASS
Why smart therapists stay stuck: the overthinking trap killing your private practice growth and what to do instead. If you've been planning, perfecting, and analyzing your therapy business but not actually growing, this episode is for you.
In this podcast episode, I'm talking to the licensed psychologist, marriage and family therapist, LPC, mental health counselor, and social worker who is one of the smartest people in the room and that's exactly why your private practice growth has slowed down. After coaching over 3,000 therapists, I've watched the same pattern over and over: the smartest clinicians are often the most afraid to experiment, which means they overthink, overplan, and stay stuck while less-credentialed entrepreneurs move faster and build profitable businesses.

The public conversation surrounding Dr. Cheyenne Bryant has sparked a much larger discussion about Argosy University graduates, doctoral degrees, transcripts, dissertations, licensure, and who can ethically use the title “Doctor.” After Dr. Cheyenne Bryant’s appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast, questions began circulating online about her educational background, her connection to Argosy University, the availability of transcripts and dissertation materials, and how mental health professionals represent themselves publicly.
The conversation continued after her follow-up interview on The Breakfast Club, creating outrage, confusion, and concern within the public and mental health community. Today, two licensed clinical psychologists who graduated from Argosy University and were physically working at the school on the day it shut down are going LIVE to address the full conversation with nuance, clarity, and professional context.

3 things I'd skip if I were starting a private practice in 2026 — including the website, the photoshoot, and the social media manager. These 3 money mistakes are slowing therapists down before their business even has a chance to grow.
