Apple PodcastsAndroidRSSLinda Chrisman is a children’s American author from northern California with two published books under her belt. She has however, written other poems and stories something she has done since childhood. Linda has also penned feature stories for her small-town newspaper.
As Director of Patient Care Services at her local hospice, her work there along with ensuring the smooth running of a large family household of seven keeps her busy; to that we must add providing tag-team caregiving with her husband for her elderly mother. How on earth she finds time to write I fail to understand, but I suppose if you’re determined to do it, you somehow find a way.
So, let’s turn our attention to her book that we are featuring in this podcast Interview.

The Book
This is a delightful children’s book aimed at 4–10-year-olds. The illustrations done by Linda herself are bright, vivid, creative and engaging, young minds will love them. The story is based on Linda’s own experience as a child whose hair would easily get tangled in the wind. The prospect of her Nana with a hairbrush in hand was enough to bring about tears, her Nana would distract Linda while detangling her hair by scolding the wild animals she said were causing her tangles. This process Linda used both on her own daughters and granddaughters. Linda has entwined this everyday experience into a ridiculous rhyme for young children to enjoy.
Other Book
Written and Published
One Smiling Grandma

With rhythmic storytelling and whimsical illustrations, the book takes young readers on a delightful adventure filled with fairy ponies, magic thrones and playful sunflowers.
