Welcome to another special edition of the Luton Town Supporters’ Trust podcast. 

In this episode, Kev catches up with the last line of the Town defence, Ethan Horvath, to get his feelings on how the season has gone for him personally and for the team.

They also chat about the unique history that Ethan had in getting to senior level, working under different managers, his hopes and expectations of the season and a little look ahead to another meeting with Wigan on Saturday.

Kev, James, Tony and Dan stay around for part two of the podcast which begins with the latest in our ‘Blast from the Past’ segment. This month Tony looks at two of the most popular players of the 1982-83 season in Wayne Turner and Ricky Hill.

The attention then switches from the past to the future with the academy put in the spotlight ahead of their FA Cup clash with QPR next week before we take a look at the transfer window which is now open and focus on the possibility of an FA Cup fourth round clash at home to Grimsby should Wigan get dispatched.

The boys then conclude this episode by looking ahead to the next bunch of matches over the next month or so and then discuss the latest update on Power Court which was provided by Luton chief executive Gary Sweet in his latest programme notes.

Kev is back to host the first edition of the Luton Town Supporters’ Trust podcast of 2023 and he is joined by regular guests James, Tony Murray and Dan Barratt-Davis, while Town commentator Simon Pitts checks in for the first part of the show too.

The boys begin by discussing the start to the reign of Rob Edwards as the Hatters manager and the differences between him and Nathan Jones on and off the pitch as well as looking back at the five games the new man has had in charge.

The lads then turn the focus to individual players with the attention this month on Alfie Doughty and Louie Watson, before this part of the podcast concludes with a look back to 2022 which was a wonderful year to be a Luton Town fan.

Part 2 of the podcast begins with the latest in our ‘Blast from the Past’ segments. This month Tony turns his attention to the skipper of the 1982-83 side, Brian Horton.

The lads then bring things back to the present day by discussing whether the extending periods of added time seen at the World Cup should be brought into the domestic game.

The attention then turns to the FA Cup draw before the podcast finishes with a look ahead to the first half a dozen games under Rob Edwards.

James, Tony and Dan are back for the December edition of the podcast which begins with the chaps discussing the appointment of Rob Edwards. Kev hands over hosting duties to James this month as he records a chat with the aforementioned new boss ahead of his first game in charge on Saturday.

Part 1 of the podcast concludes with the boys reminding supporters of the last few matches of the Nathan Jones and Mick Harford tenures as they review the final five games prior to the World Cup break.

The king has gone!

Kev, James, Tony and Dan are back for a podcast nobody expected to be recording as they react to the news that Nathan Jones has left Luton Town for a second time.

The boys give their reaction to his departure and the legacy that he leaves behind before looking towards who the successor to Jones could be.

The second part of the October podcast begins with the latest in our ‘Blast from the Past’ series where this time we focus on the two central defenders at Maine Road in 1983 in the form of Paul Elliott and Mal Donaghy.

Bringing it back to the present day, the conversation turns to whether the 3pm blackout should be lifted in light of the news that the EFL are striving for a TV deal which will seek an end to it.

The podcast concludes with the boys looking forward to the five matches which takes us through to the World Cup break.

Kev, James, Tony and Dan are back for the October edition of the Luton Town Supporters' Trust Podcast where the boys begin by dissecting the horror show that was the much-anticipated derby which turned into a complete nightmare.

The attention then turns to the much happier times prior to that match where the Town were undefeated in seven games. Each game since the international break is reviewed before the first part of the podcast concludes with our monthly player focuses. 

This month the attention is on Ethan Horvath and Jordan Clark.

Kev, James, Tony and Dan are back to look ahead to the first derby with supporters for 16 years as Luton head to Vicarage Road for a lunchtime kick-off on Sunday.

Kev also caught up with Town defensive star Tom Lockyer for an exclusive interview to get his thoughts ahead of the contest as well as on his own form, the season so far, his World Cup ambitions and much more.

Part 2 of the September podcast begins with the second part of our ‘Blast from the Past’ series where we focus on the 1982-83 season and the famous win at Manchester City in particular. The attention this month turns to the two full-backs from that afternoon in Clive Goodyear and Kirk Stephens.

Things are then brought back to the present day and what is to come with a discussion around the ‘All-Star Game’ idea thrown out by Chelsea owner Todd Boehly, and also how the need for the independent regulator is needed more than ever amid rumours that the Prime Minister Liz Truss is to put the idea on the shelf.

The chat then turns to the cost of living crisis with some clubs potentially wanting to bring their kick-off times forward to avoid using floodlights.

The boys then discuss the comments of Nathan Jones about fan expectations after the win over Blackburn Rovers, before looking ahead to the next five matches.
