“An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, “The Green Knight” tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger. From visionary filmmaker David Lowery comes a fresh and bold spin on a classic tale from the knights of the round table.”

It’s pop culture classic time everyone!!! This film has been made into a couple of sequels, and a reboot, but some would argue that this might have been the best one, and shouldn’t have been messed with at all! We’re going back to 2004, to talk about the Guillermo Del Torro & Ron Perlman film, Hellboy!!
“At the end of World War II, the Nazis attempt to open a portal to a paranormal dimension in order to defeat the Allies, but are only able to summon a baby demon who is rescued by Allied forces and dubbed “Hellboy” (Ron Perlman). Sixty years later, Hellboy serves as an agent in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, where he, aided by Abe Sapien (Doug Jones), a merman with psychic powers, and Liz Sherman (Selma Blair), a woman with pyrokinesis, protects America against dark forces.”
Of course, this is one of the movies, where it’s almost unanimously loved by a lot of comic book lovers. It was one of the very first comic book movies to have existed, and along with things like Blade, helped mold what the superhero world looks like today! Do yourself a favor, and take a road down memory lane, to give this movie one more watch!

It’s time to dive into a show that is three seasons in the making already, and there are still many answers that need to be solved! In the style of the 4400, this show is part time travel, part sci-fi, and part mystery! We are of course talking about the NBC show, Manifest!!
“Manifest is an American supernatural drama television series, created by Jeff Rake, that premiered on NBC on September 24, 2018 and has concluded on June 10, 2021. The series centers on the passengers and crew of a commercial airliner who suddenly reappear after being presumed dead for over five years.”
This show essentially centers on Ben Stone, his son Cal, and the rest of their family serve as some of the main cast. There are many ancillary characters, who at time seem like main characters, but the main focus is on the Stone family as a large unit. We’re following all of the people who traveled through time, in order to try and figure out what exactly happened, and how to stop what they’ve dubbed, the death date! If you are into a slow burn mystery, this is definitely a show for you!

It’s pop culture classic time again everyone! During ever recording session, we take look back at something from our childhood, and take a deeper dive on something we probably haven’t seen in a while. Then, we decide whether or not we think it still holds up. For today’s episode, we’re going all the way back to 1997, to revisit a John Leguizamo film, The Pest.
“Fast-talking Latino con artist Pestario “Pest” Vargas (John Alberto Leguizamo) is the target of Scottish mobsters to whom he owes a considerable debt. Willing to do anything to raise money and avoid severe injury or death, Vargas agrees to a very unusual job — he will be transported to a remote island and hunted by Gustav Shank (Jeffrey Jones), a racist German executive. If he can survive a full day and night, Vargas gets $50,000 and will be set free. Is he wily enough to elude Shank?”
This year, 1997, was a very busy year for John Leguizamo. He had three different movies come out, including Spawn. Now, we have a lot of thought about this movie, and about some of the themes that come out of this movie, including racism, and whether or not we think that we need to see ourselves in the characters that are on the big screen, or on TV. Do you think this was the star of Leguizamo’s 1997? Or is The Pest something that needed to get eradicated?

In all of movies/tv shows, there is probably only a handful of projects that have originally come from a video game, and made a successful transition to the big or little screen! What those are, is really up for interpretation, but today, we examine one more of those projects that has made it’s way onto Netflix! We are speaking about the video game, and now film, Dynasty Warriors!
“Based on a popular video game series, Dynasty Warriors (Netflix) is a period action epic that sets up a fight for the soul of the Han Empire.”
If you’re a fan of the video game series, then it’s probably your duty to at least give the movie a shot. Whether or not they are the same, or similar is up to you, but it might end up being something that works perfectly for you. There were two of us, who were discussing the film, who had previously played the video games, and I’m not sure that it necessarily worked for them, as a film. But, give a get, and let us know what you think about the film, and our discussion of the film itself.
