  • #51 Transmuting fear into love

These are trying times and I'm taking this opportunity to remind all of us that we have the ability to transmute the fear that is so prevalent in the collective right now. From epidemics, to elections, to abuse of power, there's so much triggering reactions from us individually and as a culture. But I truly believe that with intention, we can change this energy from fear to love—if we do it together! I discuss some of the techniques I use to connect with my own energy, use discernment about what energy I allow into my field, and how I transmute energy consciously without much more than my own intention. Now, more than ever, it is so important to keep up with your spiritual practices, with your self-care rituals, and to bring compassion into every situation. I believe in you. I believe in us.

  • #50 Claim your own authority

In these very trying times filled with inequality, abuse of power, misogeny, and injustice everywhere we look, we are being required to stand up and claim our own power. As people share their stories of the abuses they've endured, it helps them heal their own wounds, inspire others, and claim our own authority. By saying I'm not staying quiet anymore, I'm courageous enough to tell the truth, it changes the energetics of the planet. In this episode, I share how I'm moving forward in light of the indiscretions of Yogi Bhajan that are coming to the surface for the kundalini community to look at and how I'm continuing to use the teachings as they were meant to be used—as tools, not an identity. Each being on this planet is a unique soul and it is more important than ever that each one of us lets our true selves shine. Now, we must show an incredible amount of courage, compassion, empathy, and love for ourselves and others. I believe that we are moving into an era in which love wins, unity will be the new normal, and abundance and prosperity is available to everyone.

  • #49 Mercury retrograde: Not a time to freak out, an opportunity to evaluate your communication

It's that time of year again—Mercury Retrograde. How many times have you heard people say this with disdain or after some issue happens and they blame it on Mercury. While pop astrology might have you believe that it's time to stay home and batten down the hatches, I think it's an opportunity to evaluate—or reevaluate—how you communicate with yourself and others. Yes, there will be issues with electronics, travel and miscommunication. But if you allow yourself to go with the flow, have patience and compassion, you can have a beautiful and creative few weeks of self-awareness. It is also Pisces season and we just underwent a new moon in Pisces, so I talk about how this makes the energy even more supportive for going deep into your thought forms, emotions and heart. Take it from a Pisces who lives likes this on the daily, it's intense, but oh, so empowering when you embrace it! Happy Pisces season! Let me know how your riding the wave this season...

  • #48 Plastic pollution and why protecting the environment is part of our spiritual evolution

Most of us feel good about recycling. But many of us are "aspirational" recyclers—when you're not sure if it's recyclable, you put it in the recycle bin, including plastic bags, plastic wrap and anything that looks remotely recyclable. In reality, that low-quality, flimsy plastic isn't really recyclable and we're mucking up recycling plants with it, making it harder for the processing of the real recyclables. Even more alarming: much of our waste never makes it to the recycling plant or the landfill. On the long journey to those destinations, much of our waste winds up on the streets, then in storm drains and into our waterways. You know where all waterways lead, right? To the ocean. Recent studies are finding that our plastic waste is making its way to the furthest reaches of the ocean, from the deep seafloor, to the guts of deep-sea fish and other animals.

So what can we do about this and what does all of this have to do with our spiritual evolution? I believe that we came here not only to evolve as individual souls, but to also help planet Earth—Gaia— evolve. How can life on earth evolve when we are choking it in plastic? As stewards of this beautiful, blue planet, we owe it to ourselves, to our environment and to our children to clean things up. The only sure-fire way to make sure your waste doesn't get into the ocean is to create less waste. That means not only carrying reusable bags, bottles and utensils, but choosing products that are NOT wrapped in plastic. I know it's hard, but we have so much power as consumers and this is the only way we will see change.

  • #47 Embracing our shadow to courageously open the heart

The deeper I dive into this process of embracing the spiritual journey, the more I realize that it’s not about getting rid of or casting out the shadow parts of me, but it’s about fully accepting ALL parts of me. The inner child who doesn’t want to get hurt and cares so much about being accepted and loved by others, the impatient part that is living in the future, the programmed parts of me that have been conditioned to believe certain things just by being in this society. Accepting and loving THOSE parts of me are equally as important to the confident, independent, open-hearted aspect of me. As I tune into this full moon in Leo energy of last weekend, contemplating what it means to be courageous in love, I have been shown that truly loving all parts of me will allow me to fully give that frequency of love to everyone.

  • #46 Energy flows where your intention goes

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I pull a card from an oracle deck every morning following my morning meditation practice. Often, it's from Gabrielle Bernstein's The Universe Has Your Back card deck and last week, I pulled the same card 3 or 4 times! That card read "Energy flows where my intention goes". In this episode, I talk about what that message means to me in my life and how we can all bring this wisdom into our lives. I also share my experience after completing 90 days of a 31-minute meditation called Break the Mask—an intense journey into revealing my hidden self.

  • #45 Invite magic into your daily life

It's been an intense few weeks! If you're feeling a little pressure, overwhelm, and/or exhaustion, you're not alone. In this episode, I share some experiences that I had last week that have allowed me to get into the moment by connecting with my breath, the natural world and the magic of the cosmos, even amidst the chaos. I had multiple times where I was astonished by the beauty of nature and I allowed myself to really take it in and be grateful for this human experience. So, if you're feeling the intensity of the world right now, I invite you to take a moment to see the love and light all around.

  • #44 Embracing your intuitive gifts with Sharon Land

Sharon Land is a intuitive healer, counselor, facilitator and guide who uses a variety of modalities to help people on a path of wellness and one's own self mastery. She uses somatic therapy, BWRT, Harmonyum and other practices to allow people to release physical and emotional trauma held in the body. In this conversation we discuss how she suppressed her intuitive gifts throughout childhood and early adulthood until she found herself in a health crisis which allowed her to surrender to her intuitive wisdom. After a stroke and many autoimmune issues, Sharon healed herself with some of the modalities she practices now and a commitment to self-awareness. I learned so much from Sharon's wisdom in this conversation and found her back story to be incredibly inspiring.

  • #43 The art and science of astrology with Rose Theodora

Rose Theodora is a celebrated astrologer, writer, and curator who weaves together aesthetics, science, and her intuitive understanding of astrology to help people navigate their experience in the world. Her love of art, neuroscience and psychology gives her a unique perspective on astrology, that is very accessible to understand and feel. In this conversation, we get into Rose's childhood—exposed to both the worlds of logical "hard" sciences, and the new-age/mystical perspective—from her parents and grandparents and how she never thought she'd grow up to be an astrologer! We talk about how, after studying pre-med and art history in college, she wound up working in the art world and after many years of resisting, finally realized that her true passion and career path was in astrology.

She gives us her perspective on last week's lunar eclipse, the energetic effects of eclipses in general, the recent stellium in Capricorn and how we just ended a major astrological cycle. She also helps you get started on looking at your natal chart, even if you know nothing about astrology. At the end of the conversation, she gives a few words to describes each astrology sign, which I found to be so helpful in interpreting the signs in a deeper way than most pop culture astrology does. Rose curates events, does private readings, and gives amazing insights on her social media platforms, so be sure to check out all of her offerings!

  • #42 Be courageously joyful

As we move into this powerful year of love miracles, and getting s%#t done, I wanted to also remind us all to be courageously joyful. It takes courage to listen to your inner guide and spirit, to be authentic—no matter what others will say about it—and to do things that are uncomfortable or fear inducing. But if you balance that courage by consciously bringing joy into your life, it will help you feel more courageous and then joyful. It's like a feedback loop of love, light and joy! Remember that courage is fear walking—walking into something even though it is scary AF! Awakening joy will allow you to heal that inner child and ignite the spark of light within you that is you true Self.

Join me Jan 10 - Feb 18 for a special online immersion where I'll guide you through a 40 day Sadhana, inspire a daily commitment to your soul, and Ignite Your Inner Light. It's $40 for 40 days! Click here for more information and to enroll.
