Many women believe that it’s too late for them to pursue their dreams or that they just
aren’t good enough or smart enough to go after something bigger and bolder for their
lives.
At the same time, most of us are not taught the importance of investing in ourselves in
adulthood in order to continue our growth and expansion and to see what’s possible for
us and our lives. Mostly we stop pursuing learning and growth after high school or
college. And we are rarely told how to take care of our emotional well-being and why it’s
important – the phenomenal impact it can have on us.
What I’ve learned over the past few years since I hired my first coach and then became
a coach myself, is that everyone needs a coach. It's a non-negotiable for my mental
health & emotional well-being. It is what is helping me up-level every area of my life and
to become the best version of myself I can possibly be. I plan on getting coached on a
weekly basis for the rest of my life.
In today’s episode, I share powerful insights on why coaching is a great investment for
yourself and I tell you about my top ten reasons for investing in coaching. From how
coaching helped me process my emotions, actively think about the future rather than
past experiences, expand the possibilities of my life achievements, to healthy
relationships with people.
In addition, I expound on why coaching is an investment in your brain, developing
greater emotional awareness, becoming the best version of yourself, & key to achieving
your dreams.
Tune into this episode for more insights on giving yourself some self-care!

A lot of people are stuck in the idea that they will be end up being just like their parents. However, it’s important to acknowledge that you are unique and different from them, and it is not a foregone conclusion that you will turn out like them or handle situations like them, unless you so choose. Your mother may have raised you a certain way, but you can decide who you will be as an adult. You have full autonomy to make your own choices. You have the power to think and feel and act how you want. Just because your mother did things one way, doesn’t have to mean anything for you today.
Welcome to another amazing episode with your host Trista Guertin. In today’s episode, Trista talks about how you are not your mother. She shares why comparing yourself with your mom is natural and why being different and unique is ok. Each day we will think thousands of thoughts. Most of them will not be of any
quality. A lot of them will be judgmental, low-quality thoughts about ourselves that
have no upside and serve no purpose. If we then judge ourselves for these
thoughts, we are adding an extra layer of suffering. It’s important to understand
that whatever you are thinking and feeling isn’t bad, but that doesn’t mean we
shouldn’t learn to manage our minds and intentionally create thoughts that do serve
us better. Reprogramming your brain is the key to eliminating self-judgment and
thinking better.
In today’s episode, I share how you can manage your brain to eliminate self-
judgment. The first step is being aware of what you are thinking. The next step is to
accept that what you are thinking is normal. After accepting your thoughts, you
should diffuse and remove some of the emotions and judgments from the
thoughts. The final step is offering yourself new thoughts. These steps are key to
feeling better and thinking better every day.
