Text messages obtained by ABC News appear to show Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales pursuing a sexual relationship with former staffer Regina Santos‑Aviles in 2024, more than a year before she died by suicide. Her widower provided the messages, which include Gonzales requesting “sexy” photos and prompting her to reply, “This is going too far, boss.”
