This Is Silly with the Louligans!

Preseason is underway, and Tritts is here to tell us what he’s liked so far and what needs work.

Steve is very honest and upfront about the team, his time in Prague, and everything in between.  Especially Colorado. 

I can’t say much more than listen.  We’re pretty happy with the conversation tonight, and where we’re headed with him at the helm.  

Here we go.  Days away from the first preseason game.  As Bird says…hope springs eternal.

He also says “it’s the hope that kills you”.  

Regardless, we’re here to talk about the new center back, what the lineup looks like, and prepare for the weekend.  Sunday is also the AGM….always a crowd favorite, because it tells you, the season is upon us.

We ring in the new year with a lot of changes.

More players are signed, but Ant Pulis has departed for Beckham FC.  But not to worry, the team acted quickly and brought in Steve Trittschuh.  Tritts was already going to be involved with the team, and now is the new head coach.

What does this mean?  We cover that and the other big news from Saturday…the annual Winter Classic game against AOSTL and we raise money and food for the STL Food Bank.

Usually she lurks in the shadows, taking amazing pics for our Instagram. But tonight, we got her to talk with us about the Louligan Ladies’ event this past weekend.

You don’t know what they did? Then you’re not paying attention and REALLY need to listen.

We talk about the signings, the returning players, the radio silence from MLS4theLou, and much more. Cause that’s what we do.

Jeremy helped make the Louligans what they are today in regards to STLFC.  So, before he heads off to Chattanooga, he joins us one last time to hang out and talk about soccer as our GM.

No, he doesn’t tell all the dirty secrets on his way out.

But he’s always been a friend of the pod, and we’re gonna miss him saying “at the end of the day” several times a year.  Hear him talk about NISA and his new role, his greatest hits and misses, and be one of the gang as he always will be.

We give him trouble, but he’s always gonna be our friend and a great guest.  Until we play Chattanooga.

I know, I know, no surprise there right?

Between Mitch’s travel and the utter depression and rage, we needed a few weeks to gather ourselves and do an end-of-season show.  And we’re still pretty angry.

We recap the disappointment, talk about the expected, needed, and unhappy changes that need to be made.  There’s some USL and MLS news to discuss, but mostly, it’s ranting on frustrations and disappointments.

Last week of the season, and getting into the playoffs is in doubt.  We’re not handling our own business, and this week is going to be crazy chaos.

We could have just played last week’s podcast in reviewing the game and our feelings, but we’re doing the right thing and discuss the results and the inability to close down games.  It’s depressing, but we need to get the win on Saturday and control some of our own destiny.  Come join us in anxiety at the watch party at LLewelyn’s.

Instead of taking the questions that are the same as the previous week’s, we answer a really good question this week.  ONe that several people have expressed and is a great topic.
