This Is Silly with the Louligans!

Last night’s loss to Loudon was rough.  Good players had bad games all at once, and we’re watching the playoff line become a potentially bad situation.

But there’s two games left, including our last one at home.  Tons of Schlaffles.  Good things can happen, and we’re gonna be in the corner to do our part.  Make sure you’re there to do what we need to do.

Get your therapy out now, so you’re ready to go for Saturday.

And the boys have come back to it at the right time.

They’re playing for eachother, you can see the teamwork getting results.

It’s been a few weeks due to Mitch traveling for work (as usual), so we’ve got a lot to talk about.

We start with the run of form for STLFC: it hasn’t been good.  These upcoming home games are must wins.  We talk about the past two games, what needs to happen (score goals), and what’s left.

Then we talk about MLS.  Brad made it out to the announcement events, gives us his opinions and recaps.  We also talk about what the next steps are, what our concerns are, and most importantly, there’s time to get it all going.

Last but not least, we talk about the news and what’s coming up.

It’s a long one…as Brad said, we should charge you double.

Those around have heard it several times over the past 15 years…but St. Louis is getting an MLS team. It’s for real this time.

Needless to say, with STLFC’s form of draws and leaving points on the table, there hasn’t been much to talk about. So we’re gonna focus on MLS4theLou.

We are, as a trio, cautiously optimistic. As one tweet read, St. Louisans are naturally pessimistic. But there’s a lot of hope to be had.

That game in Tampa Bay was dreadful. No league wins in just about 3 months. It’s not good enough. So we take your ventings and discuss. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly? I don’t know.) most of the discussions are the same. What are they? Stop reading and start listening.

Jeremy always makes time for us at the mid-year point (technically 2 games away) to take our questions and chat about our team. Always honest and available, Jeremy never pulls punches and tonight is no different. I don’t need to tell you this. You already know.

That’s right, we are lucky enough to have #MLS4TheLou’s Carolyn Kindle Betz joining us tonight.

We talk STLFC’s Open Cup run, the hard fought game against NCFC, and the upcoming games in Swope and Atlanta. Yes, we, because #CKB is all in and has kudos to give. And recommendation on car rental places for road trips.

Carolyn also has a great open discussion on the progress of the bid for a MLS team, the stadium progress, and what this means for the city. There are some things she can’t talk about due to MLS restrictions, but she’s very open and honest with the discussion.

We’ve been fortunate with Tom, Jim, Pat, and Jeremy, how upfront they’ve been with the fans. And there’s little reason to think that won’t continue as our club takes the next steps.

And it was a club soda and Tito’s in her hand, for those wondering if she really “joined” the podcast.

Yes, we talk about the Blues for the first 15 minutes. This city deserves this title…lets keep this going, eh Saint Louis FC?

It’s better than talking about saturday’s result. Not a good night for our boys, and the latest runs in the league are not satisfactory. A great night in St. Charles against Chicago Fire in the Open Cup isn’t forgotten.

So we’ve got FC Cincy Wednesday night, and North Carolina coming up saturday. Time to get this train rolling.
