First up this week we're naming the five characters from this season that we like the least. After that we take a look at a new entry from an old (not that old) favorite, and review the recent OVA from Oresuki Are You the Only One Who Loves Me? Which brings about the official end of the events in season one, and possibly the show itself. We give you our honest feedback as well as a quick synopsis so consider this your official spoiler warning. We're back to out regular format with a double down on the series spotlight this week. We take a look at how well Re: Zero Season Two has been living up to expectations and then dive into Aggretsuko Season 3. But before we get into that we discuss the merits of Netflix as a streaming platform for anime. Is it viable for studios and consumers? Is something lost without the simulcast option? Will it ever adopt a simulcast method or something similar? We don't have the answers to these questions, but we do offer a solid amount of speculation for you to consider. Prepare for a total change of pace this week as Nick and Cory try something brand new for the first time. Rather than sticking to our usual format, we decided to mix it up this weekend, and just go where the conversations moves us. We cover everything from Nick's new excellently named canine companion, to censorship in virtual spaces and the usage or banning of certain phrases, to the definition of the "Lucky Lecher" trope and even changes to Nick's power ranking categories. We also start our first ever hashtag in #thisjustfanart and challenge each other to make fan art of some well known characters. Most of the conversation this week was inspired by either episodes we watched this week, or other notable events in the online anime community, but we thought it might be worth trying this new format. With the first couple titles of the summer season beginning to appear on streaming platforms we thought it would be appropriate to give our first impressions of the new batch of summer shows prior to releasing our full rankings cast in a few weeks. We also take a look at a few exciting recent announcements including a show set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe.
