  • E420 - Age is Not Your Enemy - The Living Strong Series
Rob, Blake, and Jake are back to talk shop, everything fitness. Today begins with talk of a crazy challenge Jake thought up. Rob's first thought was that it was just dumb, because let’s face it, there are some dumb workouts out there. Anyway, this workout kicked Jake’s butt, in fact, he quit not even a quarter of the way through. So they talk about how to beat dumb workouts. Then the chat evolves into Blake’s new adventure. It consists of basically bringing American football to Europe on a developmental level and is something very new: A hungry group of young European athletes who want to play American football, brought to them by the guys who have played and can give these young men an opportunity to progress to the American college market. We will keep you posted on this awesome startup. The guys wrap this one up with a little Q & A, a little fitness, and nutrition to close it down. Take a listen! We hope you enjoy!

  • E419 - Music, Entrepreneurship, and Man-Hating Lyrics - Breakin' It Down
Music is life. Music is biblical. Music is everything. Whether we are driving, working out, getting fired up at halftime, or hanging at a concert, music is a huge part of who we are! Is U2 a good band? Is the new rap any good? Is country music on the radio even country anymore? Is Alex getting a job finally? Will he work in a skateboard shop? Will he become a DJ? Or will he run a booze cruise in Nevada? (Northern Nevada that is.) And what’s up with all of the man-hating in songs? Are we really that bad? We try to answer all of these questions plus many many more! Let’s roll! This episode is brought to you by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey, The Provider, American Almond Beef, Napa Valley Olive Oil, Mickey Thompson Tires, RIGID Lights, LEER Toppers, BedSlide, Oakley Sunglasses, The Nashville Palace, and In Your Face Apparel!

  • E418 - Opinions, Plans, and Real Life Face Time - Breakin' It Down with Chad and Alex
Some like BBQ, some like grilled steak. Some like sushi, and a lot of folks hate sushi. Some people buy generic, and some only buy name brands. We all have so many opinions and the best part is, we are all entitled to them! We hit on a bunch in today’s conversation and then of course we have to dig deep to figure out what the heck Crosby is gonna do for a living. He has kept us in the dark long enough, so will we finally be privy to this secret information? We love Talkin’ and that’s what we all need to do more of! Get off them phones and IPads and let’s converse! Hope you enjoy the convo! This episode is brought to you by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, The Provider, American Almond Beef, Traeger Grills, Mickey Thompson Tires, RIGID Lights, and LEER Toppers.

  • E417 - Tributes, Loss, Life Lessons, and Legends - Breakin' It Down
You win some, and you lose some. Chad and Alex are bummed over the Niners losing in the Super Bowl and hated it for their friends on the team. Losing is hard but one thing is for sure, you can’t learn from winning, but you sure can learn from failure! The guys will be back and when we say back, we mean back on top in a flash! The losses don’t stop in this episode, and the guys are truly saddened by the passing of an American icon and legend, Toby Keith! Toby battled stomach cancer for over a year and he went out on his terms! This one has been hard to swallow and we won’t be getting over the loss of Toby for a long while! Don’t worry, even with the sad times, we still pull it together to keep the spirits high! We hope you enjoy! This episode is brought to you by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Nashville Palace, Mickey Thompson Tires, The Provider Culinary, American Almond Beef, Napa Valley Olive Oil, LEER Toppers, Oakley Sunglasses, and Banded Casual Wear!

  • E416 - Superbowl Sunday Special - Breakin' It Down with Colton McKivitz
It’s almost Super Bowl Sunday! Who you got? Niners? Chiefs? We are taking the Niners and we want a Bay Area victory! It’s been a strong season for the boys and we hope they bring it all home from Las Vegas. Chad and Alex get into their predictions, discuss the NFC Championship game that the Niners won against the Detroit Lions, and reminisce about their trip to the Bay to watch the Niners take on the Bengals during the regular season. The boys are even joined by the starting right tackle for the Niners, Colton McKivitz, who they ring up on his cellular phone. Colton doesn’t hold back with his prediction and thoughts on the overall season! Just go ahead and call us the Gridiron gang! We hope you enjoy the conversation and…..Let’s Go Niners! • E415 - Developing Greatness - What It Takes To Build an Athlete - A Fit Life Series
In this episode of A Fit Life, brought to you by Sierra Strength and Speed, we bring Nate Hallett back to tackle more questions about coaching, athletics, and working with the developing athlete. In this round-robin format, we each have questions ready but we try to answer the questions from 3 different perspectives; the coach, the athlete, and the associate staff or parent. We hope this format covers the questions from all sides and gives the listener something to think about. We tackle the question of role model/mentor and how today's kids have so many resources at hand to see everything an athlete of choice is doing to work their craft, but how it seems that a lot of them aren’t using their screen time for this purpose. How do coaches handle different kids, and how do you create a role model on a team, or how do you keep the loud kid who may not be the best role model from trying to always take the spotlight? We hope you enjoy this talk as much as we did!

  • E414 - Mixed Drinks and Emotions - Breakin' It Down
Crosby is smiling again, sorta. With mixed emotions about getting a new dog and still feeling the loss of Picon, he struggles to find balance in moving forward and remembering the past. This is sometimes a real battle for us all. The good news is that Alex got a new bulldog and he named him Bruno! He is adjusting to life with Bruno and trying to fill the void of the sudden loss of Picon. The discussion weaves in and out of these feelings and the possibility of having kids and how they could really give Crosby what he’s looking for. He remains hard headed and stern in his stance of no kids, and even no marriage! Chad tries to break him and maybe he does, or at least gets close! The banter and laughs are there as we break down life in our own way! This episode is brought to you by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, The Nashville Palace, Napa Valley Olive Oil, The Provider, American Almond Beef, Cowboy Choice Horse Feeds, Tourism Wisconsin, Corning Ford, Banded Causal Wear, and Oakley Sunglasses.

  • E413 - Thought provoking Questions and Answers From The Fitness Trainers of SSS - A Fit Life Series
In this Fit Life Series episode with Rob, Blake, and Jake, the guys welcome Jake back after all his vacation time (ha). They begin this one by answering a few questions like "What do you think about energy drinks vs just the caffeine in coffee?" They dive into details explaining their reasons for their answers adding extra food for thought. Like for example, how most energy drinks have extra added ingredients besides caffeine and the amount of caffeine can be detrimental to your performance. Learn all the answers to your burning questions in this one! "When should you go to muscle failure, is it good for you, what causes it, and what are the benefits?" The guys also conquer a very common injury occurring with overuse at the knee, patellofemoral, and mechanical knee pain. This is a common problem that can be very complex and not so easy to figure out. We hope this talk helps shed some light and hopefully also gives you an idea of how to attack the issue!

  • E412 - A Champion in The Making: Introducing Mr.Robby Snelling
Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd…..buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks…..and watch Robby strike out every freaking batter in the other team’s line-up….Just joking but for real, Robby Snelling is the real deal. A first-round draft pick to the San Diego Padres, Robby is touted as one of the top three left-handed pitching prospects in all of Major League Baseball! He earned the right to be called Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2023 and now the projections are through the roof for this young phenom! Robby joins Chad in the studio to discuss his Northern Nevada upbringing, his parents and their encouragement, his discipline, his football career, and how he developed into a world-class athlete at such a young age! It’s every young baseball player’s dream to make it to the big leagues and that dream is about to come true for Robby! We can’t wait to see him sit them down in 2024! • E411 - Grieving, Setting Goals, and Never Holding Back - Breakin' It Down
Picon is still on our minds as we continue with the conclusion of our conversation regarding the untimely passing of this awesome dog! Alex is adjusting to life without Picon and questioning whether or not he should get another dog right away or grieve and let some time pass. This isn’t an easy decision to make and this wasn’t an easy conversation to have. We try to keep part of it light by touching on some other topics but our hearts are broken over Picon and what Alex is going through. Life can be a mother "you-know-what" and this is exactly why the song "A Little Help" From Myers Friends was written! This episode is brought to you by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey, The Provider, American Almond Beef, Rigid Lights, Napa Valley Olive Oil, Corning Ford, Mickey Thompson Tires, LEER Toppers, BedSlide, and The Nashville Palace.
