The New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles, 2-0 on Wednesday night, behind a strong pitching performance from Luis Gil, followed by the bullpen which helped the Yankees become the first team to shut out the Orioles in 2024. Brian and Stacey discuss GIl’s performance and how his fastball worked against a good fastball-hitting team in the Orioles. They also wonder if some guys, namely Gleyber Torres and Aaron Judge, may need a day off on Thursday. Then, to celebrate the upcoming three-part docuseries about the 1990 Yankees that will be dropping on Hulu on May 16, Stacey gives Brian a history lesson about that crazy year that was bad off the field and on it. It’s also a history lesson for the people who think the 2023 season was bad.
