Thought For Today

You and I need to start spending more time reading the Good News - The Bible and less time hanging around negative people. Remember, faith is contagious, that’s right - It is catchy! Spend time with men and women of faith and then you will get more faith.

Jabez asked and God granted his request. If we do not ask with faith, we will not receive. God always answers heartfelt prayers.

Good people don’t go to heaven, believers go to heaven. Now, some people don’t like that term that I use but I really believe it with all of my heart. In this life, we have heard the old saying, “It is not what you know that counts, but who you know.”

Do you have some big decisions to make today? Do you have a friend that you can confide in? You see, Proverbs 18:24 says there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

If we go to 1Chronicles chapter 1 and you can go on for a few chapters... It is the family tree of the Jewish people. And of the believer, the Christian, starting with Adam. But what is more important than that is to have our roots firmly planted in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Maybe this morning, you are feeling disappointed. Maybe you are going through a painful divorce or a broken friendship. Perhaps a business partner has let you down and you feel deserted...

When Jesus walked on this earth, yes, He is God, but He was also very much man. That is why I love Him and I can identify with Him so very easily. He understands when you and I cry out to Him for help because He has been there Himself.

It is Woman’s Day today and we thank God for the women in our lives. You see it was a woman who carried the Son of God in her womb...
