Thought For Today

We must be so careful that we don’t get so busy that we don’t spend time with our Heavenly Father. Do not even let the work of the Lord Jesus become more important to us than the Lord Jesus Himself...

We cannot be indecisive in these perilous times in which we are living. Either Jesus is Lord or Jesus is not Lord at all! It is very uncomfortable to be a fence-sitter, especially if it is a barbed-wire fence. We cannot be wishy-washy!

What a beautiful promise for you and me this morning from the Lord Jesus Christ! The faithfulness of God - You see, God cannot be unfaithful because it is against His nature.

Have you ever tried to measure the enormity of the love that Jesus has for us? It is amazing! There is a beautiful hymn that I heard yesterday.

The widow only had enough food for one more meal, then she and her little son would die of starvation. She had a choice to make - Was she going to obey the word of the Lord or was she going to make a plan...

In Hebrews 13:8 Jesus says, "I am the same yesterday, today and forever." He never changes - He is the same. Maybe you can hear a slight wind blowing, I am sitting on top of a hill overlooking the mighty blue Indian Ocean. What a beautiful morning!

I want to say to you today that if Jesus Christ is in you, you have the majority. Romans 8:31 says if Christ is for us, who can possibly stand against us. Today with the spirit of fear that is prevailing all over the world, through this dreaded COVID-19, we need to remember one thing...

Why are we so fearful?

There can only be one reason for that and that is that we do not know Him well enough...

God always honours faith. You know faith is contagious, that is right! It is catchy, not faith in faith, but rather faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. God always honours that act - He doesn’t want our effort or even our good deeds, he wants us to have faith in Him.

You know, in rugby I used to play in the scrum and we would wrestle over that rugby ball for ages. I played rugby what seems like about 100 years ago - It doesn’t happen like that these days does it?
