The Headless Way FREE Webinar with Richard Lang and Friends
-I heard of Richard Lang on the Making Sense podcast by Sam Harris (I’m actually subscribed to Making Sense on Apple podcasts)
-Sam’s episode with Richard, is offered in full, which is cool because Sam’s new podcast model is based around a subscription paywall, usually only releasing half-episodes at a time. So this is a treat
-Richard studied under Dougles Harding
-And While listening to the podcast, I remembered that I actually first heard of one of Douglous Hardings works (years ago), in Sam’s book ‘Waking Up’
-The work is titled, “What it’s like to have no head”
-The basic idea of that work is for someone to meditate on the idea of “trying to find your own head”
-Doug and Richard claim that they found their ‘true self’ while attempting to find their own head.
-I have a vague memory of almost achieving this, once, for a brief moment.
-I have to mentioned Richards voice. During the podcast episode I noticed the nice, calm, and easy talking-pace he has. His audiobooks could definitely put me to sleep, in a good way.
-Anyways, I hopped over to Richard’s website, www.headless.org, and found my way to a page for The Headless Way FREE Webinar, which is on February 10th 7-8pm GMT
-Here is a brief description of the FREE webinar, taken right from the website "The Headless Way with Richard Lang and Friends. Feb 16th 7-8pm GMT We are going to experiment with offering a webinar – a question and answer session with a panel of friends who will be sharing their experience of living from their headless true nature.”
-I had to remind myself the EST equivalent of GMT, which is a 5 hour difference
-The FREE webinar starts at 7pm GMT so I’ll be watching it at 12midnight EST - a little late but heck it’s only one hour long, and I love me some science learning!
