The winter holidays can be a time of many opposites: joy and grief, magic and rushing, spirituality and materialism. Many of us put very high expectations on ourselves to somehow manage perfectly the practical aspects of this time of year (think gift planning and food making), create magical, cozy experiences for our children,  while still cultivating room for an appreciation for the spiritual side for this season. All of these expectations can be...a lot. Add onto this the fact that many people have personal griefs that they are mourning this time of year, and it’s no wonder that for many, this time of year is less a season of joy and hope, and more a season of simply “getting through” and surviving.
During this episode, we discuss tips to hopefully help you make this season a lot more enjoyable by looking at your own authentic values and creating a season of presence, awareness, and yes, lots and lots of joy (and maybe even a little magic).
