Work is a fact of life. Nothing gets built, accomplished, or served without a team of people working together to make it happen. But wherever you have people, there will be problems. Wherever something is being produced, there will be conflict and pressure. How can we navigate the problems, conflicts, and pressures that come with our necessary work? Pastor Chris addresses that topic in this message.

The concept of friendship is a strong theme in scripture. From Abram being called, “a friend of God,” to Jesus calling His disciples friends, we see it throughout scripture. In fact, Jesus said that the entire Old Testament law and all the words of the prophets could be summed up this way: Love God (like a close friend), and love people like you love yourself. In this week’s message, Pastor Chris looks at the story of a man whose four friends made a huge difference in his life, and what lessons we can pull from it for ourselves.

Family life can get messy. Family relationships can be hard to navigate sometimes. Many of us desire to hear from God when making decisions - where to go to college, whether to take an opportunity or not; even when deciding on buying a certain car or getting married. Some of us find ourselves in moments where we need to respond properly under pressure; but we’re not always sure our first response would be the best response. Having that “life hack” of hearing from the One Who knows all and sees all would be a tremendous advantage. But how can we hear from God? And how can we be sure it’s Him?  

How important is it to let the Bible define your values? Is it necessary to encounter the Holy Spirit in order to serve God fully? Do you really have to go to church in order to be a Christian? There are a lot of philosophies, thoughts, and ideologies in the world today about what it means to be a Christian, and what the core values really are. In places where we should be united and agree, many of us are more divided than ever before. But what if we didn’t back down or shy away from a culture that challenges our faith? And what if we did it in such a way that actually showed who Jesus is, and not just the version of Jesus that we prefer?

You are not victim of your circumstances or limitations. You are not meant to be a hostage to someone else’s opinion. You do not have to settle for less than what you need, or even dare to dream for. You were created for more.
