In this episode we speak with Kristin Andrus, or Chief Culture Officer on the @kristinandrus Instagram page, and she tells us all about her family business, how it started, and what she’s doing right now. We talk about how mothers generally dictate what mood the kids are going to be in and how much influence or power they have to change how the children are behaving. Kristin tells about how she keeps herself and her family humble by giving back to the community and serving the less fortunate, taking her kids with her to give them opportunities to serve as well. We discuss marriage and spousal relationships, including how we should be communicating with our partners and what we should expect from each other.

“How do I stay humble? How do I keep my kids grounded? How do we not fly off the rails like a lot of people do when they have more than they need? And so from an early age, my kids were little when this happened, and we went to the teen homeless shelter and we brought food, and instead of this celebratory dinner, we went down to the homeless shelter and I said ‘This is our path, and this has to be our path for the way that I want my life to be and the way that I want my kids’ life to be. We can choose consuming, or we can choose giving.’” 11:30
