TW: sexual assault, sexual harassment, underage sexual assault
This episode is a reflection on being a woman today, in response to a recent sexual assault that our hosts learned about in their small town in Oregon. We discuss being harassed, assaulted, raped, catcalled, approached, intimidated, threatened, objectified, and made to feel unsafe, unseen, and unheard through many decades and situations across our own lives. Note that all opinions expressed in this podcast are specifically our own and not necessarily related to any organizations or individuals discussed.
It is everyone's responsibility to keep women safe, to empower women, and to nurture environments where sexual harassment, discrimination, and assault are not endorsed. If you or someone you know has been the victim of sexual assault, please contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.
