Council President Nelson Esparza has filed a defamation lawsuit against Councilmember Bredefeld over his allegations of extortion. The Fresno Co. GOP has called on Esparza to resign, citing that, "This latest revelation takes corruption to a whole new level." The Nonhuman Rights Group, the same folks that are suing the Fresno Chaffee Zoo are taking the Bronx Zoo to court, claiming that their Asian elephant, Happy, should have the same right of protection against unlawful imprisonment that people have. An Arkansas man has been charged with two felonies after shooting the Johnny Cash water tower right in the wedding tackle, causing a hilarious leak.
