Back with another cracker, this time with Sam Herlihy, frontman of the fantastic Hope Of The States, who recorded two amazing albums in the noughties, 'The Lost Riots' and 'Left'
After the break-up of the band Sam had many musical projects before opening both a restaurant (Pidgin) and sandwich shop (Sons + Daughters) with business partner and friend James Marsden, this also led to them recording 'The Kitchen Is On Fire' Podcast.
We spoke about all this plus my magic mushrooms tale and then Sam picked his heroes.
Sam also spoke candidly about his friend and bandmate, Jimmi Lawrence, who tragically took his own life during recording of the bands debut album.
It was a pleasure to speak to Sam and I really hope you all enjoy this episode!
