AndroidRSSWhat inspired Sarah Endline to leave a successful corporate job and create an activist candy company in the heart of New York City? And what has motivated her to stick with her dream to create a “sweet” movement to change the world?
Sarah had a dream to build a socially responsible business that’s about more than making a profit. She had a vision to create a natural dark chocolate product that’s good for the world and is fairly traded; to build a team and workplace that’s empowered, positive and service-oriented; and to create partnerships that celebrate culture, diversity and young people.
During our conversation we discuss:
Before founding sweetriot in 2006, Sarah launched products and created brands at Yahoo!, Microsoft and the World Bank. She has degrees from the University of Michigan and Harvard Business School.
With Revenues in excess of $5 million dollars, sweetriot’s products are sold in over 1,700 stores including Whole Foods. It also owns the distinction of being the very first food product ever sold at the Museum of Modern Art Design Store in New York City. Sarah’s entrepreneurial work has been covered by The NY Times, The Today Show, Forbes, Newsweek, Business Week and Gourmet Magazine.
If you’d like to try the natural dark chocolate nibs or bars, go to: shop.sweetriot.com and use the promo code timemanagementriot to receive a discount coupon for 15% OFF your order. The promo expires on December 31, 2013.
