Eve Molony has been the volunteer librarian at Scoil Ailbhe Primary School in Thurles since the Mid-90s.

She stocks the library herself and meets every student of the school to give them books to read every week – but to make her story even more impressive, she travels from her native Dublin every single week to do so.

Just before Christmas, she was crowned as National Award Winner from the Children's Books Ireland for her outstanding contribution for the reading lives of Children.

Tipp Today Producer Ben Sweeney traveled to the school to speak to her and the students to get her story:

The Minister for Health says Vicky Phelan is right to keep the focus on improving cervical screening standards.

He was responding to comments by the campaigner who criticised the Taoiseach over the government’s handling of the Cervical Check scandal.

This weekend sees the commemoration of the 1919 Soloheadbeg ambush – often seen as the first act of the War of Independence.

Gardai are investigating an overnight break-in at a farm on the Tipp/Offaly border.

The farm belongs to Clive Clark who has featured on this programme before, most recently for his interview with Trudy about preparing pigs for Christmas.

Its not the first time his premises has been targeted with machinery and fencing, as well as tools stolen previously.

Clive spoke to Fran on Tuesday's show.
