Ep. 40 — Alex and Bobby give a proper sendoff to Ichiro (at least for the season) by reminiscing on the incredible career of the true Hit King and discussing their favorite anecdotes about him that may or may not be true. Then they dive into Sonny Gray’s precipitous decline, Trevor Bauer’s general tomfoolery, and Ken Giles inadvertently spurring a different kind of conversation on toxic masculinity and self-harm. Finally, a discussion on injuries around the league turns into the conversation no one has been waiting for: the DH argument. This doesn’t mean they’ll stop teasing it on the show.

Ep. 39 — Alex and Bobby banter about the respective debuts of the two biggest prospects in baseball in Ronald Acuña and Mac Williamson, Sean Manaea’s no-hitter, and add a couple tweets to the Dramatic Bad Take Reading Series catalogue. Then they take a closer look at Didi Gregorius and the rest of the Yankees lineup, and analyze the personality types of fandom. Finally, they get a little too heated talking about whether or not Matt Harvey should have just sucked it up and talked to the media, and do a little check in on Tim “He’s Actually Doing Okay?” Tebow.
