TMNT Shellcast

TMNT Shellcast returns to breakdown the season 2 episode 13 finale from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, titled "Return of the Technodrome." In the episode, Krang attempts to conquer the planet by bringing the Technodrome back to Earth and threatening to destroy New York City with an earthquake unless the inhabitants leave within 24 hours. The Turtles, with the help of Splinter and April, stop Krang's plan by infiltrating the Technodrome and altering its seismic polarities, causing it to sink into the Earth's core.

Jon closes out season 2 with earth (mushroom) pizza (00:02:32) and narrowly avoids becoming the first back-to-back Twitter Poll (01:49:04) loser. Instead, Andrew spins the Pizza Time! wheel and is dealt anchovy (01:53:02). TMNT Shellcast pounces into review of “The Catwoman from Channel Six” from season 2 episode 12 of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In the episode, Shredder experiments with Krang's Matter Transporter and accidentally sends Bebop and Rocksteady to the turtles’ sewer lair. April finds the transporter, accidentally activates it, and is trans-mutated into a cat. The turtles eventually rescue her and destroy the transporter, and April returns to her human form.

In this episode, the Neutrinos intercept a message from Krang to Shredder, preparing to turn the Turtles into mindless zombies. They team up with the Turtles to retrieve the Starmobile, which can neutralize the Mental Neutralizer and save them from Shredder's plan.

TMNT Shellcast brings to life its recap of "New York's Shiniest" from season 2 episode 10 of the original 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series. In this episode, Shredder plots to steal a robotic police officer prototype to attack the Ninja Turtles. April is robbed, and when the Turtles come to her aid, they meet REX-1, the robotic police officer, whom April inadvertently activates. After a series of events, the Turtles use REX-1 to stop Shredder's army of robots and save the day.

Jon, the self-proclaimed "Great Bambino", scores meatball as the highest Pizza Time! topping to date (00:01:34). Then Andrew, Jon, and Chris construct the Mount Rushmore of Advanced Technology (00:22:11) with motion picture robots, video game consoles, car amenities, and futuristic technology as the specific categories. In this episode, Shredder's plan to unleash new mutants to destroy the turtles fails miserably when the Punk Frogs (00:56:06) become friends instead of foes with the turtles.
