It seems like it is always much easier to forgive ourselves than it is to forgive others. We release them, while we keep ourselves in bondage. We fail to understand that we can't pour from an empty cup. We have to learn to forgive others, as we forgive ourselves. If we wouldn't talk to, serve, treat, and act with others this way, why do we do it to ourselves? Not being able to love and forgive ourselves is an indication that we shouldn't be trusted to love and forgive others. We cannot give what we don't have. We must learn to embrace, love, cherish, respect, honor, and forgive ourselves before we can do that for anyone else. The way we allow others to treat us is a huge indication of how we feel about ourselves.
