It has been a while since we have posted an episode, but we are back with the penultimate entry in the Star Wars saga, in terms of release date.  This film is an origin story that the three of us all agreed we didn't really need.  This movie is generally considered to be one of the weakest Star Wars films, even though it does have some redeeming qualities.

It has been quite a break between posts, but we are back with another year in review episode.  1994 is one of the strongest years we have covered so far.  With that said, we did have some cross over between the three of us, but there are also some movies that the others didn't have.  These episodes tend to go long, and this one is no exception.

We are really trying to plow through these two franchises, so we decided to do the second and third installments of both.  One series has a pretty straightforward plot, while the other changes it up movie to movie.  While not quite as bad as one of the franchises we discussed, we will all be happy when we reach the finish line.

Since it is the day before Halloween, it only made sense to have a discussion on horror films.  We talk about three different horror films, two of which are relatively recent while the other is quite a bit older.  Two of us haven't seen the older film, so that discussion is a bit one sided, but the other two we go a bit deeper on.

We are finally coming up on the end of one of the many franchises we have started.  While this entry is probably the most divisive of the series, it does still have several redeeming factors.  Personally, I didn't really like it after the first viewing, but since watching it again, some of the issues I had I don't push back against as much anymore.  One of us watched it for the first time, while the other of course saw it in theaters, as she has every one prior.

It is an off episode for our horror franchise, so we decided to take a look at two movies that just released this year.  The first film was a Netflix original, while the other had a theatrical release that also dropped on HBOMax.  We did have some differences of opinion on one of the movies, and we did go off on some unusual tangents, but that isn't anything new.

Ever since becoming the biggest streaming platform out there, Netflix has now moved into producing and acquiring their own properties and titles.  A list was found that included approximately 1700 films that are original to Netflix.  We thought it would be a good discussion to pick our favorite Netflix originals.  Unsurprisingly, each of us chose a different film.

This episode we go back to the beginning of a franchise we had just seen the latest installment to.  This is a much more understated film than what comes after, and I think it's safe to say that when they had finished the first film, they couldn't have foreseen that it would eventually lead to one of the biggest franchises in the history of cinema.

Continuing on with our space opera franchise, we have come to the movie that doesn't directly follow the main characters of the series.  The movie does, however tie directly into the main story that is being told.  Many, including all of us argue that this is the best movie of the new entries.  Going in knowing the end result, the film is still able to captivate, and it also gives us  the best look at what one of the most recognizable villains in cinema is capable of.

This episode the two original hosts start a franchise at the end.  The latest movie in this series just recently got released so we decided to give it a go.  Having seen all the movies that came before, we had a pretty good idea what we were getting into, and they cranked the insanity up to 11.  They will be making more of these films, and who knows how they are going to top this one.  We will eventually be going back to the beginning of the series and talking about all 9 movies that came before this one.
