We are being sneaky lil sneks this week and releasing some Patreon content to everyone! We are covering the To All The Boys spinoff show XO, Kitty in 3 parts. So, this week we are covering episodes 1-4, just to give you a taste of our Patreon magic ;) Also just for fun extra info we also recently covered Bend It Like Beckham which thrilled me to my core.

p.s. if you want to skip straight to the synopsis, it starts at just about the 6 minute mark.

Whichever one of our listeners recommended this episode, we love you and also you need help just like everyone in this movie. Also, Terry Crews has charisma and star power and we love him.

Synopsis starts at 10 min! Sorry for the extra chatting.

How many times does Christina say “God forbid” in this episode?

By popular demand (kind of), we are finally covering Little Black Book (2004)! Our girl Brittany is obviously incredible, Derek is sus, and Barb is a betrayer! Also, Little Black Book is currently available on Hoopla--yay libraries!

Also, stick around long enough and you'll hear a few wild tangents re: gyno offices, experimental film, and birth.

What other rom-com-adjacent movies should we cover?

Hotties who love Bridgerton rejoice! Simone Ashley gave us everything in this movie, but unfortunately, no one else did. Once you've had certified Bridgerton Yearning, there's simply nothing that will compare.

Did your spouse smash cake in your face at your wedding?

We’re going back to our roots, nay, root (singular), to the movie that inspired this podcast! Since it’s been a whopping 6 years since we last covered this movie, we figured it was high time we looked back at our love letters and caused some chaos.

Write us love letters:

A movie about Steve Martin being a curmudgeon, which is something we can relate to deeply. The other things this movie brings us: Martin Short's strange accent! Basketball! Sneakers (yeah that's right it's sneaker night)! Swans! and, an irresponsible marriage!

Did you get married pre-brain development and how did it go (earnest)?

It's Sex And The City, but for BOYS!!!! We think it's good that boys get one (count em, ONE) rom com, but there don't need to be any more than that, okay?
