With Hayley still missing, Klaus takes a hostage from each faction to put a pep in their search efforts, while also identifying the guilty faction. Really puts a damper on Mardi Gras float building! Meanwhile, Freya heads to Mystic Falls to warn Hope she might be a danger to the world, and also get gossip on Hope’s new crush Roman (who we do not trust yet). The stakes of Haley’s kidnapping are raised when a wooden box arrives to the compound, containing gruesome evidence and a coin with a surprising symbol.
