You don't have to be a fan of Hulk Hogan or Vince McMahon to become immersed in the drama. As we discuss the events of this episode, "Kayfabe," we compare the series to other shows and movies, talk about the cast, and discuss some of the background that helped shape the show into what it is. Minnie Driver kicks off this season of John Carney's New York Times inspired series, Modern Love, by playing a doctor with reservations about selling her late husbands Triumph Stag. 

It's definitely one of the tamer shows we've reviewed lately, but don't let that scare you away. The emotional gut punch and straight forward storytelling is more refreshing than boring, and given it's only a half hour, there are much worse ways to spend your time. Hope you enjoy our review!

This season, which is titled Flesh & Blood, deals with a family stuck on a remote island with a serial killer. If that sounds familiar, then this podcast is for you. Paramount+ just wrapped up the second season to its critically acclaimed anthology series, Why Women Kill. The last episode was called “The Lady Confesses.” Season one centered around 3 timelines, one mansion, and a handful of murders. Season two is completely different, with a story set in the late 1940s about the lengths a woman will go to to get into the prestigious Garden Club. We discuss the plot at length while giving our thoughts on the show in general. Tune in and enjoy! 

Last Friday, Netflix dropped the second, 10-episode season to one of its fastest growing shows... Teen-drama-adventure-mystery Outer Banks. I watched both seasons. On Today’s Episode, we talk over the ridiculous yet exciting plot that poses the question, what if we injected teens with adrenaline and made them solve homicides in The Bahamas instead of going to school? 

It's a crazy premise with crazier character development, but take a listen if you want to hear our full thoughts! 

In honor of our 200th episode, we rank the last 100 shows that we've reviewed in 2021 and pick out our favorites to talk about and recommend. From History of Swear Words to Masters of The Universe: Revelation we've watched a lot, and though we may never be an expert on any specific show, there have certainly been some that catch our attention as special. An animated superhero fantasy sequel to the  1983 show He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which consisted of 130 episodes and a full franchise of merchandise for Mattel (not bad for a company that passed on Star Wars).

The continuation of a classic "man and man's best friend" story. Scott Turner Jr. (Josh Peck) follows in his fathers footsteps, solving crimes as a Deputy Marshal while taking in a fully grown French Mastiff (Hooch). The Disney+ premiere is polished and predictable. McG has a good track record with comedies, and the show is typical of a mid-USA Psych/Monk procedural. Kids should like it and adults will too if Tom Hanks shows up!
