A meta cartoon reanimated to fit the audiences of 2020. Animaniacs provides comedy for both young and old. On Today's Episode, we discuss the characters return, this time on  the streaming site Hulu. As I learned, there isn't a lot Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are afraid to cover. Hope you enjoy!

Teen soon-to-be spy, Alex Rider has had a lot of loss in his life. He's not letting it get him down, though. The UK secret service is about to go full 21 Jump Street, and in the first episode we get a good sense of the shows layout. It's light fun with YA appeal. Take a listen for more of our thoughts. 

Peter Morgan’s The Crown offers a dramatized chronicle of the life of Queen Elizabeth II. Margaret Thatcher and Lady Diana make their introductions in 'Gold Stick," which ends in the early 1980s. There are some shocking moments to discuss in this premiere. It's fair to say it begins with a bang. We discuss the episode, the cast, and the accuracy of the show. Enjoy!

At the end of last season, Lyra escaped into the chasm, a window into another realm. This year we explore a new world, we talk over the shows future and the work that inspired it. With a huge budget, a star studded cast, and top tier visual effects, the expectations are deservedly lofty. Does it deliver? Tune in to hear our thoughts. 

It's a controversial show. The first episode focusses mostly on the introduction of the two leads, Claire (Kate Mara) and Eric (Nick Robinson). It's obvious the show plans to focus on their relationship, highlighting the double standard that exists in society for male victims of sexual grooming and abuse. How effective it is at representing the psychological impact and reasoning for such relationships is up to the viewer. Tune in to our review of the pilot. 

This fun loving work place comedy has all the love an... hold up, I just watched the show and it was not what I was expecting. Think Newsroom, Suits, Succession, HACF, and The Pursuit of Happiness rolled up into one promising pilot. We discuss the characters and the twists of the first episode, along with a little info on production. Spoilers, so watch the episode before tuning in!

The description for this show states, "Mediocre astronauts living in a NASA test environment," but that seems disingenuous given the lack of intelligence displayed by these characters on a routine basis. Same can be said of Steve Carell and Hugh Laurie in their prospective space shows. It is not the craziest we've seen of Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker, and John C. Reilly, nor is that the shows goal. A modern medical drama cannot ignore the devastating effects of COVID. This seasons opener veered right into the pandemic. Take a listen to hear our thoughts on how Shaun (Freddie Highmore) and the team at the fictional San Jose Hospital dealt with everything from a mass influx of patients, to no PPE, to changing their personal lives to keep their loved ones safe. The unique storytelling, suspense and anticipation, love and tragic loss will emote feelings in even the harshest of critics. Adult Swim has raised the bar.
