The first show we've reviewed that was shot during the pandemic, Connecting... struggles to "connect" with the audience. In the pilot, we are introduced to a multitude of characters with distinct, yet cliche, personalities interacting over Zoom. Annie leads the group as they complain for 20 minutes about kids, social distancing, masks, boredom, and etc. Hopefully our podcast is more entertaining.

The return of this anthology, based on the Coen Brother's 1996 classic film has been awaited by fans for over 3 years. Though the setting and timeline has changed, the fourth series promises to deliver on the backs of another strong star studded cast. Will the story live up to its hype? Amazon Prime just dropped a hilarious and dark new series following a group of nerdy young adults, a couple professional killers, and the end of the world. This is not for the lighthearted. The comedy is great, but the suspense can be brutal. To hear more about episode 1 and the show and general, take a listen! 

Up-and-comer Christopher Plummer and Emmy winner Archie Panjabi lead a talented cast in a show focussed on the investigation over the tragic disappearance of a trans-Atlantic flight. It's been compared to 24, Homeland, Lost, Manifest, and was partially inspired by the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Sam (Jude Law) is stuck on an island filled with a community of odd, religious zealots who partake in questionable/mysterious rituals. He's also haunted by his son's murder. He's also married, but falling in love with a girl named Jess. This is a miniseries with more questions than answers. If you like David Lynch, this runs in a similar vein. Ratched, a show that plucks the main villain from, 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and attempts to paint their backstory in an equally creepy light, is just the latest result of Ryan Murphy's Netflix endeavors. As such, one can expect some campy, beautiful scenes mixed with a healthy dose of shock and gore. Check out our review of the pilot!
