Vin Diesel takes over hosting duties for Eric Andre and clones Hannibal Buress using a nose hair. Desks are destroyed, bands are attacked, guests are scared, and people are grossed out... We talk about the surprise return of this cult classic, and discuss many of the same questions you were probably wondering as well. 

The Queen's Gambit is one of the oldest known chess openings.  It is a setup every grandmaster knows, and one of the first young chess players add to their repertoire. This miniseries has a lot of big names attached starting with its director Scott Frank, known for his work on Godless and Logan. It's funny how few of the main cast make appearances in the first episode we review, however that doesn't prevent Beth Harmon, an orphan child prodigy, from ingratiating herself as the center of this dark, exciting Cold War world. 

It can be frustrating when the show you're watching tortures its contestants, which it spends the full hour hyping up as "great people", by prolonging their misery when they have no way of knowing whether they've won or lost everything. That said, the questions are reasonably easy, and it is exciting to watch when people when people win big. Chris Hardwick is a solid host but needs to tone down the Walking Dead jokes. 

Shit Happens. It's not just an expression any more thanks to Andy Breckman, creator of Monk.  The popular card game, which he kickstarted in 2016, also includes a kid friendly version, "Stuff Happens" as well as an edition specifically geared for parents and their misfortunes. Now that it has been adapted for the small screen thanks to TBS and the Impractical Jokers, we checked out the season two episode named, "Chicken, Spaghetti, and Sex." 

Are you speaking Latin and throwing feces at the wall? Well this is the show for you! Helstrom  is Marvels latest family drama. You want dysfunction? There is rage, sibling rivalry... a serial killer father, and the promise of an upcoming family reunion. Listen in to hear our thoughts on the pilot. 

What can you expect to see from a gritty teenage drama that wants to address all of today's social issues? Sexual Assault, Sexual Identity, Sexism, Slut shaming, Cyber bullying, Racial Injustice, Activism, Mental Health, etc... Grand Army strives to accomplish a lot. In its pilot, we get to know its central characters and their personal struggles as they journey through adolescence while not sacrificing their own identities. 

NBC's Connecting... has some competition in the Zoom/Screencapture genre. Even if shows like Social Distance will ultimately serve as a brief time capsule of our history, it is still interesting to watch them unfold. Pandora is a science fiction show filmed in Bulgaria. Honestly, the behind the scenes atmosphere sounds more interesting than the show. They filmed the first season in a couple months, casting relative unknowns and plotting out a wild shooting schedule that left everyone laughing at how quickly the action sequences and leaving them with some crazy stories. We discuss these stories and the second episode of season 2, which draws heavily on the plot of 'Logan's Run.' Tune on in!
